Procurement Administrator - Newlands East at Pedros Flame Grilled Chicken

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out all the activities necessary to purchase goods in compliance with the given cost/time/quality requirements and with company policies and standards and work instructions
• Issue to the vendor the request for a quotation based on the given purchasing request
• Support the vendors during the preparation of the technical /commercial proposals with the obligation of confidentiality of the related bid 
• Manage procurement process flow from determining stock required until receipt of goods meeting
• Perform the required assigned activities in compliance with procedures and provided systems and tools
• Ensure that SOP's are being adhered to at all times
• Build and maintain productive relationships with staff, stakeholders and suppliers
• Ability to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a procurement role (chilled FMCG experience is advantageous)
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, and expediting
• Knowledge of the procurement process complemented with expediting
• Must have completed Matric
• A tertiary qualification in Purchasing or Supply Chain is an added advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office is required
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to problem solve
