WhereIsMyTransport is a globally distributed scale-up revolutionising the way public transport information from emerging-market megacities can be accessed and understood. Using geospatial data collection, we untangle the mysteries of dynamic public transport networks - knowledge which, when shared, improves understanding and creates a more equitable society. We are looking for a Product Manager to own the product strategy, roadmap and execution. Be the main decision maker and driver, guiding the product in the right direction. Be responsible for the overall performance of the product and its delivery of business value for WhereIsMyTransport.
Establish and own the product vision and the roadmap, along with fellow Product Managers and the Head of Product. Document and communicate your vision, gathering input and building consensus around the direction you are advocating for
Understand the overall landscape in which the app is developing including the competition, the legal, commercial and strategic environment shaping the solution.
Proactively engage with colleagues across the business to ensure alignment between divisions and teams, including ongoing awareness of related projects / initiatives and relevant co-dependencies. Setting up stakeholder groups and leveraging these for information sharing and decision-making.
Set key usage and performance targets and metrics for the app, in association with the product analyst and the Growth & Impact (G&I) team
Identify important problems to solve, back them up with research insights and data and make them come to life through the use of personas and user stories.
Own the prioritisation of backlog(s) for both short-term tactical enhancement and mid / longer-term roadmap.
Drive effective decision-making, being effective at wrangling differing opinions and facilitating consensus.
Document requirements and create project briefs, ensure that all backlog items have associated requirements that are clear and well thought through.
Support delivery from concept, through research, design, development and testing, collaborating with external delivery teams to ensure product delivery is as effective as possible
Requirements
Experience working on digital products and technologies in a product management or engineering capacity
Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions
Experience working with and animating a team of designers, product managers, and engineers
Experience in analysing product data and deriving insights from them
Software development skills
Strong communication and storytelling skills
Experience in the mobility space
