Professor/Associate Professor in Management(1572) at University of the Western Cape/Universiteit van Wes-Kaapland

The successful candidate for Professor/Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

• Facilitate learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Management and its related sub-fields (such as supply chain management and financial management) and/ or Entrepreneurship
• Conduct research and publish in Management and/or Entrepreneurship
• Undertake undergraduate and postgraduate supervision
• Provide academic and institutional leadership and administration
• Undertake curriculum development and assessment
• Undertake community engagement and outreach
• Ability to work across disciplines and functional boundaries
• Assist with the development of the department’s in-house academic journal
• Engage with external stakeholders to provide training and development programmes in the areas of Management and/ or Entrepreneurship

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements – Professor

• Doctoral qualification (i.e., PhD, D. Tech, DBA) or equivalent in Management, Entrepreneurship, BusinessAdministration or any Cognate discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating learning and teaching in the field of Management and/or Entrepreneurship and/or related fields such as Supply chain management and Financial management
• A record of quality peer-reviewed publications, preferably in Management and/or Entrepreneurship.
• A record of successful postgraduate supervision.
• Evidence of expertise, national standing, and definite international presence in his/her discipline.
• The integration of community engagement with learning and teaching and/or research.

Added advantage

• Experience in generating research grants.

Minimum Requirements - Associate Professor

• Doctoral qualification (i.e., PhD, D. Tech, DBA) or equivalent in Management, Entrepreneurship, BusinessAdministration or Cognate discipline.
