    • To be part of a team responsible for the analysis, design, build, test, deployment and customisation of bespoke as well commercial applications. The incumbent will further be responsible for providing maintenance and support in respect of these applications.

    Administrative Officer: Vendor Records(1617)

    • Reporting to the Manager Accounts Payable, the role involves custodianship of both electronic scanned and physical document storage systems, including the responsibility for security profiles and record reference accuracy.  The incumbent will be responsible for sensibly categorizing and referencing supporting documentation for payment transactions and ensuring these are readily available to a the correct users.

    Minimum Requirements

    Minimum education and experience required: 

    • A Senior Certificate (Matric),
    • A Diploma or Certification in Software Development,
    • 3 years’ experience as an Analyst Programmer/Software Developer.

    Minimum competencies required: 

    • Developing ASP.NET MVC web applications using C#, .Net Framework and/or .Net Core, AJAX, Angular, JavaScript, CSS and BootStrap,       
    • Experience with SOAP/REST API and Web Services,
    • Exposure to SQL queries, stored procedures, and views on Sql Server and Oracle PL/SQL,
    • Exposure to Azure Devops,
    • Understanding of unit, integration, regression and system testing,
    • Good verbal and written communication skills,
    • Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC), eg: Waterfall, Agile and DevOps CI/CD development methodologies,
    • Knowledgeable and passionate for all things digital.

    The following would be advantageous:

    • Sql Server Integration Services (SSIS),
    • Power BI Reporting,
    • Data modelling and cataloguing,

    Teaching and Learning Specialist(1608)

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Working closely with Departments with regards to the design and implementation of the teaching and learning strategies and interventions e.g. digitisation, learning technologies, cross universities  collaborations etc.
    • Assist Departments to internally review and reflect on their Teaching and Learning strategies.
    • Collaborating with Departments to implement curriculum and academic literacy initiatives as well as facilitating the integration of academic literacy onto undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
    • Facilitating the development of disciplinary and faculty graduate attributes and monitor the incorporation of these into Teaching and Learning activities and assessment tasks.
    • Facilitating and disseminating innovative prerogative practices with the Departments of the Faculty.
    • Initiating and implementing professional staff development in the area of Teaching and Learning .
    • Conduct research into the barriers of Teaching in the Faculty and developing strategies to address these.
    • Promoting the scholarship of Teaching and Learning in the Faculty by publishing as well as collaborating with academics to publish in the field of Teaching and Learning.
    • Limited relevant teaching and supervision. 

    Minimum Requirements
    Qualification and Experience:

    • A PhD degree preferably in cognate discipline and preferably in a Health Sciences Faculty.
    • Evident of experience in key areas of Teaching and Leaning practice and theory in a higher education context.
    • Record of publications in Teaching and Learning.
    • Engagement of Scholarship on higher educational pedagogies and teaching.
    • Experience in staff development and supporting the integration of teaching and learning activities into undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.
    • The incumbent will also need to have a strong understanding of academic complexities of the Tertiary education environment.

    • A PhD specifically in the area of Learning and Teaching.
