Project Engineer at The Heineken Company

Key Performance Areas include, but not limited to:

• Manage multi-disciplinary engineering projects, from inception to final hand-over, in
• accordance with Distell project management procedures
• Facilitate and ensure plant project management processes are in place to achieve
• performance objectives.
• Ensure that projects are completed within scope, time & cost.
• Facilitate and ensure that a comprehensive project plan is created based on the project scope.
• Drive effective Project governance structures, e.g., meetings and related minutes, stakeholder involvement, etc.
• Manage and co-ordinate installation and commissioning of equipment.
• Ensure effective contractor management in compliance with OSH Act and site safety

Requirements.

• Perform acceptance testing of equipment and drive an effective hand-over through a
• structured Project closure review.
• Provide engineering design, advice, and consultancy to Distell operations.
• Develop and transfer competence to grow project management capability
• Develop and drive effective KPI’s and reporting requirements.
• Facilitate and ensure that all capital plant purchased has the appropriate asset management
• elements and maintenance schedule implemented to achieve effective maintenance. standards.

The successful candidate must have the following experience, competencies and qualifications:

• A relevant B degree in engineering and GCC will be advantageous.
• Project management diploma/qualification(s) advantageous
• 5-8 Years technical experience in the FMCG industry, at management level
• 3 -5 Years project management experience in dealing with large complex projects in excess of 5Mil.
• Experience with high-speed bottling and packaging equipment will be advantageous.
• Sound written & verbal communication skills (E&A) with all levels within the organisation.
• Ability to work independently and meet demanding deadlines.
• An action & self-driven, motivated person with strong numerical aptitude.
• Attention to detail and analytical abilities are essential.
• Goal & Service orientated strong team player.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Willingness to work outside normal working hours.
• Computer literate: MS Office, MS Project & CAD.
• SAP: Would be advantageous.
