Revenue Accountant X2 (Hay Band- L) at Rand Water

Job Advert Summary    

• Accounting for Rand Water’s Revenue streams and Accounts Receivables by producing accounting reports through verifying, allocating, analyzing, posting and reconciling general ledger accounts contributing to the integrity of the entity’s trail balance, through business partnering, driving standardization and application of end to end business processes, credit control activities and in accordance to compliance with relevant legislation

Minimum Requirements    

• 3-year National Diploma or equivalent (majoring in Accounting)
• Bcom Accounting
• Minimum of three years working experience in an accounting environment with similar responsibilities
• Minimum of three years’ experience in credit management or credit control environment

Primary Duties    

• Billing for all Rand Water Revenue Streams Maintaining Debtors Age Analysis and Cash Flows.
• Managing water accounts and Collections of Rand Water’s revenue streams.
• Implementation and adherence of the policies, processes and procedures to ensure that all Rand Water’s customers are billed and debt is collected in compliance with Policies, IFRS, Water Services Act, PAJA, IRFA, VAT and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist with assessment of Expected Credit Losses and Legal Recovery process
• Assist in resolving all revenue and accounts receivable contractual related matters.
• Assist in the credit risk assessments and management process relating to customers.
• Ensure Customer Satisfaction with good Internal/external Customer relations
• Ensure Revenue and Accounts Receivable system processes adheres to standards and procedures.
• Assist with accounting and reporting for revenue and receivables as per IFRS requirements.
