Key Responsibility Areas

• Performs road making tasks associated with road rehabilitation and asphalt paving.
• Supervises the complete paving and milling operations, large scale road works which includes construction of new roads, reconstruction and repairs to existing roads, trench reinstatements and access hardening.
• Plans the required activities in the Branch and the utilization of necessary plant and material.
• Sets out traffic deviations at work sites and ensuring that these comply with the Department of Transport Road Traffic Act.
• Ensures that all work undertaken is in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Works from detailed plans and ensures work undertaken is completed in accordance with laid down specifications and quality standard

Essential Requirements

• Trade Tested Artisan (Bricklayer).
• Valid motor vehicle drivers license (Code EC1).
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
• 2 Years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements

• 3 Years relevant experience.
