    Sales Intern: Gauteng

    Exciting opportunity to join a high performing team delivering excellent Sales partnership and support for a company where we live our mission to ‘alleviate pain, restore health and extend life’ with the result that worldwide, every second, two patients benefit from our therapies.

    Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

    • This is a 12 month Fixed-Term Internship position.
    • Translate business strategy into specific plans for the relevant portfolio/accounts/region – working closely with the reps and Territory Managers
    • Providing Sales Support to the current Sales Force.
    • Assess clinical stakeholder needs and present appropriate Medtronic products.
    • Promote and sell Medtronic products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts.
    • Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with clinical and economic decision makers – while working with the representatives.
    • Responsible for generating and pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product and services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and services.
    • Partner with Technical Consultants to promote education of the company's products and/or services.
    • Communicate customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders – Reps and Territory Leads
    • Inventory management in allocated accounts as per SOP.
    • Ensure compliance with internal training (Cornerstone + Product/Clinical), use of Customer Relations Management Tools (CRM), example SFDC.
    • To complete tab-A training as well as specific product training to understand where the products fit into the greater organization.
    • Ensure that you understand the selling and promotion of a product mix to ensure continuous re-ordering and promote the adoption of clinically sophisticated products and procedures/therapies, by working closely with the current sales force.
    • Understand how relationships with clinical and economic stakeholders are established and maintained, as well as how to create demand from clinicians and economic stakeholders.
    • Show strong capabilities in commercial and/or clinical selling.

    Must Haves

    • Relevant Bachelors degree or equivalent professional qualification preferred
    • Clinical Technology Qualification
    • Sales and/or Marketing Qualification
    • Business Management Qualification
    • 0-2 years of experience required
    • Fluent English
    • Based in Gauteng/Johannesburg
