    Sales Leader (Risk Management and Specialties – Africa)

    • The purpose of this role is to deliver the firm by organizing, packaging and presenting the global capacity and capability of Marsh and McLennan companies. In this role you will be responsible for increasing market presence in the Risk Management and Specialty business units through tangible and measurable interventions aligned to global best practice. Sales Leader will reports to Regional Sales Leader.

    We will count on you to:

    • Integrate MMC and Marsh wide solutions in a consultative approach to deliver the firm to prospective clients and drive systematic growth within the Risk Management and Specialties division
    • Lead, develop and pro-actively seek out new business opportunities with the broader Risk Management and Specialty teams
    • Drive the development of client centric solutions, articulate and present these as required
    • Assume leadership and ownership of the sales cycle within the divisions under management
    • Secure client wins in targeted industries
    • Ensure effective cross-selling between Marsh divisions
    • Meet or exceed the agreed income targets
    • Develop relationships with markets and Key Client decision makers
    • Communicate and report to senior level colleagues on sales the territory sales performance, contributing market and product insights and coordinating across sales functions to gain business insights and growth opportunities.

    What you need to have:

    • Qualifications as following: Appropriate insurance qualification (FCII, ACII, FIISA, AIISA), Bachelor’s degree and Postgraduate studies (MBA, CFA, or CA)
    • Solid knowledge of insurance and business sectors
    • Good communication skills including solid command of written and spoken English
    • Superior analytical and reporting skills
    • Solid negotiations skills
    • Computer literacy including intermediate skills in Excel, PowerPoint and word.
    • Initiative and ability to work with independence with existing clients and new business prospects
