A bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) or National Diploma (NQF level 6) in
Accounting or a Finance related field. Two years public sector financial administration experience. Computer Literacy. Knowledge of SAGE 300 will be an added advantage.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure that all invoices received are correct, captured on SAGE 300 and manage creditors' age analysis. Prepare schedules (e.g. accruals, legal provisions, leave provisions, payment compliance register etc.) for monthly management accounts. Reconcile general ledger accounts for payables. Prepare monthly journals and reconciliations.
Assist with monthly inventory stock count. Support internal and external auditors with queries.
Maintain records, filings, and important documents. Assist with monthly and year end functions. Provide ad hoc support to the CFO. Monitor and mitigate risk that might be associated with the Finance unit.
