    Senior Assistant Director: Governance and Stakeholder Management

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The purpose of this role is to establish and promote a quality service culture within the department by facilitating and advancing stakeholder relationship management and governance processes.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Relevant four (4) year / Honours degree;
    • Six (6) years of work experience (which includes 2 years’ experience in management) in a Facilities Management or relevant environment;
    • Driver’s license.

    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES):

    • UP Policies & Procedures;
    • Contract law ;
    • Labour Law (Specifically in matters related to Performance Management / Disciplinary Actions etc.);
    • Integrated enterprise resource management systems;
    • Operational functions in PeopleSoft or equivalent;
    • Analytical ability;
    • Computer literacy;
    • Concept writing and finalisation of technical reports;
    • Ability to explore alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties;
    • Ability to convey information clearly and concisely to groups or individuals either verbally or in writing to ensure that they understand the information and the message;
    • Confidentiality;
    • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with others in order to encourage and support communication and teamwork;
    • Ability to Identify problems, determine possible solutions, and actively work to resolve the issues;
    • Ability to administer and ensure compliance with human resources policies and procedures.

    ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES:

    • Formal qualification in Labour- or Contract Law;
    • Two (2) years’ experience in higher education and facilities management environment.
