Senior Design Engineer RF & Microwave at Pollock & Associates

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in RF Engineering or Higher Education Engineering (Honours preferred) and/or a post-graduate degree in engineering (MSc/MEng/PhD)
• A substantial tenure of 8+ years of experience in RF and Microwave engineering
• Demonstrable proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools, particularly Altium Designer
• A strong foundation in antenna design and analytical design approaches
• Prior exposure to design and implementation, system engineering aspects, and quality assurance 

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Microwave Office, CST, LT Spice, Matlab/Python, and DOORS
• Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, and network analysers 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of groundbreaking RF and Microwave subsystems
• Oversee prototype measurement and evaluation to ensure the highest quality of production-ready designs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, acting as the go-to RF element leader
• Actively participate in system-level and conceptual design initiatives
• Cultivate an enriching environment through the mentorship of team members and interns
• Contribute to the internal training initiatives, enhancing the collective competency of the team
• Play a vital role in the technical aspects of proposal/quotation generation for marketing and sales
