    Senior Lecturer/Lecturer: Anthropology

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • A relevant Doctoral Degree 
    • At least 3 years’ experience in higher education
    • Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research experience in the area of Anthropology.
    • A record of accredited research publications commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer
    • Postgraduate supervision experience including successful Masters/Doctoral supervision commensurate with the academic rank of Senior Lecturer

    • Recognition in a chosen area of research (e.g., NRF rating)

    Duties:

    • Participate in research; curriculum design, development, and implementation
    • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules
    • Meet research publication requirements for the academic rank of senior lecturer level
    • Secure external research grants
    • Supervise postgraduate students
    • Establish institutional, regional or national collaborations
    • Contribute to mentorship of emergent academic staff
    • Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching and/or research
    • Participate in administrative duties at departmental, faculty and university levels 

    Lecturer: Anthropology (1 Post) 

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • A relevant Masters Degree and registered for a Doctoral Degree
    • A teaching qualification
    • At least 1 years’ experience in higher education or qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning
    • Undergraduate teaching experience in the area of Anthropology
    • Research publications or successful supervision or successful research grant funding
