Senior Product Owner at Touchsides

About the job

The ideal candidate will be accountable for the end-to-end ownership and delivery of the Touchsides product. Responsible for the product strategy and definition of business requirements. Represents the voice of the customer and responsible to ensure alignment with all relevant stakeholders, including Touchsides Operations, Commerce, DevOps, Data Science and Engineering as well as Heineken SA and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the success of the product, sourcing and managing partners
• Owns the user experience and works in collaboration with the business or end user to establish requirements in the form of User Stories
• Maintains, refines and prioritises the Product Backlog with a view to maximise reusability
• Defines the product strategy, works with the Product Team to plan the Sprints including deciding on Sprint content and priority
• Represents the end user and decides the order in which content is delivered with input from the team; based on value delivered
• Ensures pre-conditions for an engaging and empowering work environment so the team can work optimally
• Communicates expectations to the Product Teams
• Remains engaged and responsive to Product team throughout the product cycle, including participation in resolving support issues where needed
• Available to the Product team throughout the Sprint to clarify understanding of requirements and to answer any questions the team might have.

Qualifications and Experience

• BCom Degree in Business/ IT/ Engineering
• MBA (Added advantage)
• Scrum Product Owner training and certificate(Added advantage)
• 3-5 years of experience in an e-commerce product environment on the edge of business and IT.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of customer-focused technology
• Knowledge of agile methodologies & Scrum
• Knowledge in Sales Analytics and IT processes
• Effective communicator, able to deal with relevant business stakeholders
• Ability to drive strong cross-functional collaboration and coordination
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex data in a simple, easy to understand way
• Ability to work agile and to promote agile behavior in others, explain and coach in case necessary
