Job Description

• Contributing to the operational success of an established, design-led retail brand, the Senior Retail Buyer will drive commercial growth through strategic procurement and effective supplier relationship management. Operating within a highly collaborative and professional consumer goods environment, the role balances creative product alignment with strict financial and inventory targets.
• The successful candidate will take ownership of sourcing materials and finished goods, guiding product portfolios from concept to delivery. By maintaining deep integration with cross-functional teams, this position ensures that all product ranges achieve maximum market impact and comply with brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute seasonal buying strategies across various product categories, including homeware, lifestyle, and gifting, to meet commercial targets.
• Source and negotiate terms with both local and international suppliers to secure high-quality materials and finished goods at competitive prices.
• Collaborate closely with product development, design, and merchandising teams to align purchasing plans directly with design briefs and emerging market trends.
• Monitor inventory levels systematically to ensure consistent product availability in accordance with demand planning metrics.
• Conduct continuous market research and competitor analysis to identify product gaps and new commercial opportunities.
• Assess product samples rigorously for cost-effectiveness, quality compliance, and brand alignment.
• Manage end-to-end supplier performance, proactively resolving delivery or quality variances while ensuring strict adherence to lead times and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase orders, records, pricing files, and supplier contracts.

Requirements
Essential Requirements

• A formal Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Buying, Fashion Merchandising, or a strictly related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in a buying or procurement role, specifically within a retail, design, or consumer goods environment.
• Proven negotiation and relationship management capabilities.
• Strong analytical thinking combined with a commercial eye for design, product trends, and quality assurance.
