Matric plus 3 years post-matric qualification at NQF Level 7 (or equivalent)
5 years Administration/Secretarial experience in Higher Education or similar setting
Evidence of training/working knowledge of ITS systems
Knowledge of University processes, policies, and systems

Responsibilities include:
Management of the office and diary of the Registrar
Provide an effective interface between the Registrar’ office and all levels of the University community.
Meetings, event coordination and management including administration of the relevant meetings in the Department (agenda compilation, minutes and reports)
Office Administration including Secretarial (Personal Assistant)
Drafts routine and standard notices, circulars etc for the Registrar’s signature and arranges for dissemination of the same.
Plans and organizes the Registrar’s time, calling for information and subsequent initiation and preparation of occasions set in the diary.
Prepares the Registrar’s diary annually according to the University Calendar, and in accordance with the Registrar’s specific requirements and internal planning
Maintains a pending system for follow-up of previous correspondence and passes items to the Registrar, the Executive Operations Manager or the Deputy Registrar’s, as the case may be for follow-up action
Liaises with all persons reporting to the Registrar’s office for whatever reason (visitors, staff and students) on a wide variety of matters
Ensures all Council, Management and Senate Committees are always fully constituted
Managing travel and accommodation logistics for the Registrar.
