    Senior Specialist: Supply Chain Management (FTC - 4 months) - Centurion

    MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To procure goods and services in a fair, equitable, transparent, competitive and cost-effective manner in line with the Bank’s Procurement Policies and Procedures and relevant legislation.

    Key Performance Areas    
    Procure Goods and Services (Tenders)  

    • legislation
    • Advise business on process and best practice
    • Assist business with the resolution of any queries
    • Assist suppliers with the resolution of queries
    • Set-up and coordinate meetings with business and suppliers.

    Maintain Customer Relationships 

    • Identify the relevant role players in accordance with business requirements and dependencies
    • Set-up meetings with the role players to discuss the roles and responsibilities and possible areas of cooperation, improvement and conflict
    • Obtain mutual agreement on the resolution of issues, meetings required and the delivery of inter-dependent outputs and results
    • Agree to the expected outcomes from each party.

    Adhoc Responsibilities

    • Perform adhoc tasks as and when required
    • Stand-in for Senior Specialist: Contracts Management when required.

    Document Management 

    • Draft, Manage and Maintain all required reports and documentation in line with policy and procedures
    • Ensure that all documentation is managed and maintained within allocated timeframes
    • Ensure that documentation is complete and readily available for audit purposes
    • Draft comprehensive tender reports as final record of the tender process.

    Procurement Committee Administration

    • Set-up committee meetings
    • Ensure that all compliance documentation is in place
    • Compile committee documents and packs
    • Follow-up on action items from committee meetings
    • Obtain signatures on all items approved
    • Preferred Minimum Education and Experience    
    • 3 year qualification in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
    • 4 years' experience within a Procurement environment 
    • 2 to 3 years' experience with the tender process 

    Critical Competencies    

    • Microsoft Office
    • Knowledge / Experience of Procurement Systems
    • Relevant Legislation
    • Relevant Legislation

    Additional Requirements    

    • Travel as and when required
    • Extended hours as and when required
