Appointment requirements
An appropriate career-related tertiary qualification in Social Work
Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP)
At least three years’ relevant working experience
A valid Code B driving licence
Computer literacy
Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage

Primary functions
Ensure convenient and accessible indigent registration services rendering
Ensure access to basic municipal services by all registered indigent households
Ensure linkages of individuals from registered indigent households to training and skills transfer programmes
Develop a skills data register on family members of indigent households for participation in economic development activities initiated by the City of Tshwane
Ensure linkages of indigent beneficiaries from the indigent register to training, skills transfer programmes and job opportunities and ensure their participation in empowerment programmes
Ensure termination of registered indigent households who no longer meet the indigent registration criteria
Evaluate all households who are on the indigent register for 24 months and exit registered indigent households who no longer meet the indigent registration criteria from the indigent register
Render an administrative service
Manage own diary
Attend area meetings
Educate and inform the community about the indigent programme policy and services rendered
