    Supply Chain HOD

    Description

    Main Responsibilities: 

    • Lead and mentor a team of logistics personnel. 
    • Cultivate the team through recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to align with strategic business goals. 
    • Enhance and streamline all flow processes (inbound, internal, outbound) in terms of cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability. 
    • Manage stock levels, focusing on quality, value, turnover, and availability. 
    • Direct, optimize, and coordinate the complete order cycle. 
    • Offer expert guidance on logistic aspects to the team. 
    • Oversee store stocktakes to ensure product availability for customers. 
    • Manage all health and safety aspects related to the supply chain. 
    • Collaborate within the management committee to co-create and implement strategic initiatives.
    • Engage in cross-disciplinary projects with peers. 
    • Develop robust risk management strategies. 
    • Formulate customer service enhancement strategies. 
    • Contribute to the formulation and modification of policies to align with evolving market conditions. 

    Requirements

    Requirements: 

    • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or equivalent. 
    • B-Tech / Degree in Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
    • MINIMUM of 5 years of logistics management experience in the retail or FMCG sector.
    • Extensive expertise in freight logistics management (road, sea, and air). 
    • Profound experience in managing bulk cargo and shipping containers. 
    • Solid proficiency in logistics document management (e.g., import, export, waybills, financial instruments, etc.). 
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills. 
    • A team builder and an adept team player. 
    • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service.
