Team Lead: Merchandise and Inbound Solutions at PEP

Role overview:

• The team lead serves as the critical link between the business and the IT teams, overseeing and participating in the development and implementation of new technology solutions in line with agreed business requirements and executing to them in accordance with the agreed way of work methodologies in the solutions environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensures alignment of business strategy with solution strategy, by leading and coaching the team
• Contracts performance expectations and development priorities with the team
• Project Management: Develop and monitor projects plans (including; budgets; risks; resources) and re-prioritise, as business needs shift over time
• Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure overall understanding of projects, deliverables and deadlines
• Chair all relevant Merchandise and Inbound related meetings and forums
• Ensure the appropriate administrative governance standards are applied (includes process mapping, scoping, specifications and all related documentation)
• Proposes new developments and changes to business process and technology 
• Oversees and participates in the design of functional and technical specifications for approved new business processes
• Oversee and participate in the testing and implementation of new business processes
• Trends in user queries will be monitored and resolved through training interventions
• Oversee and participate in analysis and troubleshooting for reported issues on business systems applications

Job requirements 

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree (Maths, Stats, Engineering, IT)
• At least 3 years experience in a leadership position
• 8 -10 years experience in a Merchandise & Inbound logistics systems environment
• Above average computer literacy
• Proficiency in Google Suite
• Presentation & facilitation skills
• SQL experience will be beneficial
