Team Leader: Financial Accounting at Capitec Bank

About the role

• You will be responsible for overseeing a team of Financial Accountants within a diversified clientele portfolio. You will need to ensure that all financial accounting transactions are accurately recorded for in the financial results.
• You will also perform and review Balance Sheet reconciliations to substantiate all values. You will further provide expertise, technical knowledge and guidance on the execution of month-end routines and financial transactions processing within the bank.

What we are essentially looking for within a candidate:

• Qualified CA (SA) or eligible to register as a CA (SA)
• 1 to 3 years working experience (obtained as a part of articles)
• 1 to 2 years team management experience (obtained as a part of articles)
• 1 to 2 years team management experience (obtained post articles – advantageous)

• Computerised accounting systems and principles
• South African Tax and specifically VAT

• Financial analysis of large volumes data in an efficient manner and interpretation of results
