Technical Operations Manager at Tarsus On Demand

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure and system architecture with hands-on experience in these key areas. 

The Technical Operations Manager will work closely with the Alviva Group IT Team and key platform suppliers as well as all departments in TOD to ensure that all systems, platforms, and generated data contribute to TOD’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise:

• Possess a strong understanding of the technical aspects relevant to the organization’s operations.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to make informed decisions.
• Choose the right technology for the problem to be solved.
• Develop a unified technology strategy and implementation plan as well as take the lead in its execution.

Leadership:

• Lead and manage a team of technical professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment within the technical operations team.
• Establish and uphold relationships with key platform suppliers

Project Management:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of technical projects.
• Assist with project planning regarding resource allocation, and assist with project execution through consulting with the project and technical teams.

Process Optimization

• Automate and optimize business processes through technology.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all needs are considered when choosing technology.
• Facilitate communication and cooperation between different teams to achieve common goals.
• Collaborate with Alviva Group IT to leverage synergies and ensure optimal engagements.

Problem Solving:

• Address and resolve technical challenges and issues as they arise.
• Implement proactive measures to prevent future issues.

Quality Assurance and Risk Management:

• Ensure the quality and reliability of technical systems and operations.
• Implement and enforce quality assurance processes and standards.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with technical operations.
• Develop contingency plans to address unexpected challenges.

Documentation:

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation for technical processes and systems.
• Ensure that documentation is accessible and understandable to relevant stakeholders.

Experience, Qualifications, Skills, and Other Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: Grade 12 or Equivalent
• 2+ Years experience in managing a team
• 2+ years’ experience in Desktop support
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams
• Experience in Project Management
• Good understanding of cloud technologies
• Odin / CloudBlue experiences advantageous
• Experience in Dynamics CRM, PowerShell, O365, Backup products, and Microsoft Azure is advantageous
• Virtualization experience in VMware and HyperV advantageous
• Networking and security experience advantageous
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
