    Training Facilitator - Explosive Skills Development (Postmasburg)

    Description:

    Key accountabilities/ Key Performance Indicators;

    Training Services

    • Consistently deliver on all service level agreements
    • Compile and maintain training matrixes to ensure competence
    • Plan, prepare and present or facilitate group targeted learning programmes using given methodologies
    • Perform one-to-one training on the job utilising given methodologies
    • Conduct task assessments to support competence declaration

    Conduct skills development administration

    • Comply with standards and quality results
    • Deliver quality, cost effective service and support on time.

    Cost awareness and control

    • Accept and implement advice in order to improve business performance

    Utilisation of resources and efficiency

    • Determine training needs to meet and maintain competence by carrying out the steps of a basic skills audit

    Legal compliance training

    • Assist with the required legal compliance training interventions:
    • Handling of Hazardous Chemicals. (Bi-Annually)
    • Blasting Assistant /Competency A. (Once off)
    • Legal Liability. (Bi-Annually)
    • First Aid. (3 yearly)
    • Health and Safety Rep. (3 yearly)
    • Rock breaker certificate(as required)

    SHE Academy compulsory training

    • Assist with the required SHE academy training interventions:
    • SHE Legal OverviewHazard ID
    • Legal Liability
    • Incident Investigation (managers & relevant persons)
    • General Explosives Awareness
    • Enaex Africa induction training. (Bi-annually all employees.)

    Enaex Africa training:

    • Facilitate and conduct assessments and moderations on all product application and internal training programs.

    Conduct site visits and assist with:

    Training needs analysis.

    • “On the job” coaching and mentoring.
    • PTOs. (Follow up on remedial actions next site visit)
    • Classroom Training as above.
    • Audits – Internal and External.
    • Assist management team with scheduled site audits. ( All sites)
    • Feedback from SHERQ to sites and management.
    • Follow up on remedial actions on sites.

    Best practice audits

    • Assist management team with scheduled site audits. ( All sites)
    • Feedback from SHERQ to sites and management.
    • Follow up on remedial actions on sites.

    Requirements:

    • Grade 12(Must)
    • 1-year professional training knowledge (Must)
    • Artisan qualification – Millwright or Electrician (Wish)
    • Assessor certificate and experience in assessments (Must)
    • Moderator certificate and experience in assessments (Must)
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in surface explosives environment (Must)
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience With MMU and Smart MMU (IBIS) (Must)
    • Experience of delivering training programmes (Must)
    • Certificate in ODETDP (Outcome base directed education training development practitioner) (Wish)
    • National Rock Breaker Certificate for Surface Mines/Blasting certificate for opencast mines (Must)
    • Experience as SME in the fields of explosives products and surface mining (Wish)
    • Experience in identifying training needs (Wish)
    • Good oral and written communications skills
    • Strong customer relationships
