    Data Analyst

    Description:

    Data Analyst, collates collects, analyses, and interprets large volumes of data to support informed decision-making and support Operations Centre of Excellence initiatives.

    • Gather, organize, and analyse data from various sources to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
    • Develop and maintain databases, data collection systems, and data analytics dashboards.
    • Create and implement data quality controls to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize data requirements and deliverables.
    • Interpret data findings and communicate actionable recommendations to stake-holders.
    • Develop and automate data visualization tools and reports to effectively present data insights.
    • Detect and address data gaps, inconsistencies, and errors through rigorous data cleansing and validation processes.

    Requirements:

    • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent Certification
    • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
    • Proven work experience as a Data Analyst or similar role in the Mining or Explosives industry.
    • Advanced proficiency in SQL and statistical analysis software (Advantageous).
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and data warehousing concepts.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
    • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with large volumes of data.
    • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

    Operational Excellence Technician

    Description:

    The Operational Excellence Technician will conduct Operational Excellence projects through the capture and analysis of field data; to support and coach field personnel on operational best practices, to support on the development of organizational processes, systems, and workflows, to optimize business performance and to enhance the company’s operational reputation amongst customers.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in surface explosives environment (Must)
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience With MMU and Smart MMU (IBIS) (Must)
    • Experience of delivering training programmes (Must)
    • Certificate in ODETDP (Outcome base directed education training development practitioner) (Wish)
    • National Rock Breaker Certificate for Surface Mines/Blasting certificate for opencast mines (Must)
    • Experience as SME in the fields of explosives products and surface mining (Wish)
