    Transformation and Diversity Officer – Temporary Global Grade 10 (Isando)

    Core purpose of the role

    To provide administrative support and coordinate the implementation of projects that are relevant to the Business and/or Functional Departments in accordance with company policies and procedures.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Group Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) support through; Identifying suppliers that qualify for SD expenditure i.e., Black owned / black women owned EME’s / QSE’s and identifying commodities for SD and ED; Identify commodities for SD and ED targeting - non-capital intensive; Support recipients of supplier development with long-term contracts, to secure multiplier on spend.
    • Work with Siyakhula Beneficiaries and other strategic partners in implementing Information Technology based processes, e.g., ESD Portal, website management and act as a call centre agent for Siyakhula.
    • Assist in the preparation of Siyakhula Board packs and meetings.
    • BBBEE Verification process- monitoring the online reporting tool, submission of documents, scheduling of interviews for sampled employees under the Management Control/Employment Equity scorecard element, including collation of documents on employees with a disability.
    • Governance and application of the Corporate Social Investment (CSI) policy including screening of all applications; drafting letters of appointments and decline letters; conducting thorough due diligence processes on potential beneficiaries to mitigate risks.
    • Administrating the donation/payment process: creating Purchase Requisitions and ensuring that all payments are processed on time.
    • Coordinating the implementation of Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives and employee volunteerism activities for the division. (Fundraising initiatives on behalf of Non-Profit Organisations and coordinating Mandela day voluntary activities).
    • Facilitating the Corporate Social Investment (CSI) educational programs aligned with the National Development Plan applicable in RSA (Techno Girls Program and administrating the allocation of bursaries for Tertiary Financial Assistance Program).
    • Drafting monthly reports and budget monitoring on all Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives.
    • Effective internal communications on all initiatives or programmes that must be shared with employees.
    • Administrating the implementation of the Disability Awareness Program (Raising awareness of different types of disabilities in alignment with the commemoration dates for each type of disability).
    • Providing secretariat support for the Barloworld Equipment Transformation and Diversity steering committee, chaired by Barloworld Equipment Executives (scheduling of meetings, minute taking and distribution of minutes, technology requirements for meetings when requited).

    Qualification, Experience and Competencies

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or three-year Diploma/Certificate Programme in Business Management or in Human Resources Management

    Minimum Required Experience:

    • Knowledge of BBBEE legislation and related socio-economic developmental programmes, initiatives etc.

    Minimum Required Competencies:

    • Computer literate - Microsoft (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
    • Teamwork
    • Effective Communication Skills
    • Interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail.
    • Competent with SAP
