Travelling Nail Technician - Westrand Region at Dis-Chem Pharmacies

Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an exciting opportunity available for a Travelling Nail Technician for their Westrand Region. Great Earning Potential with Excellent Commission structure.

Perform nail treatment according to Dis-Chem standards. Create awareness regarding the variety of nail treatments at Dis-Chem. Contribute to appropriate customer liaison practices, when performing these treatments.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

• Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate
• Nail Technician Certificate
• At least 1 years’ technical experience in a professional beauty/nail salon environment
• Willing and able to work retail hours
• Knowledge of all salon treatments offered
• All product training, nail products and retail products used for nail treatments (Gel, Gelish and Acrylic)

Advantageous:

• Salon booking system experience

Job Description:

Sales:

• Meet monthly treatment and product targets.
• Promote the salon on a daily basis to achieve monthly targets.
• Attend training to stay informed and educated regarding new products, treatment and/or service techniques and all salon equipment

Customer Service:

• Adhere to Dis-Chem policies and procedures when dealing with customers.
• Report customer compliments and complaints to management.
• Provide customers with accurate feedback regarding queries within a reasonable time.
• Market Dis-Chem offerings to new and existing customers on a daily basis.
• Provide customers with an excellent and memorable salon experience.
• Conduct monthly promotions in conjunction with management.

Administration:

• New customers should complete customer cards and after every treatment and/ or service.
• Complete and submit accurate monthly reports in time.
• Adhere to Dis-Chem treatment and service payment procedures.
• Adhere to Dis-Chem merchandising procedures.

Stock Control:

• Maintain stock on hand according to Dis-Chem procedures.
• Report short, damage and expired stock to management
• Maintain effective and accurate merchandising of promotions.
• Adhere to Dis-Chem merchandising procedures.
• Ensure that all relevant equipment is in a working condition and clean at all time.
• Report general maintenance and faulty equipment on a regular basis.

Competencies:

Essential:

• Possess general knowledge of nail technology (correct product application techniques) and nail contra-indications for nail treatments
• Strong command of the English language
• Be a team player, have good customer relations
• Trustworthy and honest
• Be deadline and target driven – daily treatment planning and administration and meet monthly treatment targets

Special conditions of employment:

• Willing and able to work retail hours
• Fit and able to perform all salon treatments offered
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
• South African citizen
• Clear credit and criminal records
• Willing to travel to various stores
