Tutor | Lonehill | R300 Per Hour at Au Pair Extraordinaire

• Area: Lonehill
• Children’s Ages: 12 years old (Grade 6) – Twins
• Working hours: One day a week, likely Friday 15:00 – 18:00
• School holiday hours: Not required (Unpaid) If the tutor is required, prior notice will be given and paid accordingly.
• Duties: The primary focus of the role is tutoring Mathematics and Afrikaans, while also assisting with English as needed. Help reinforce classroom learning, prepare the children for tests and exams, identify and address learning gaps, and build their confidence through tailored academic support. One of the children has dyslexia and attends remedial lessons and the Raising Readers programme, so the ideal candidate should be understanding, adaptable and able to implement effective learning strategies to support her individual needs while ensuring both children remain motivated and achieve their full academic potential.
• Special Requirements: Special needs experience would beneficial. Someone studying towards their teaching degree or qualified would be preferred.
• Start Date and contract term: ASAP – November 2027  
• Salary: R300 per hour

All Au Pair Extraordinaire applicants must fill the following requirements:

• Must have at least 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience, excluding work done for friends and family. This experience must be within the last 2 years.
• Must have their own, reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have at least 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record
• Must have a passion for children
• Must have Matric
• Must have a South African ID document.
