    Vice President Operations, RGD Division

    The position:

    The mission for Epiroc is profitable growth – to expand and realize our market potential for all business lines within an environment that promotes employee safety, diversity, and inclusion, while achieving environmental sustainability.

    In Operations, the main strategic focus is Operational Excellence while continuously optimizing the global footprint to meet current and future demands. A key focus is to secure a flexible and agile manufacturing setup, with an optimal product mix in each factory, able to quickly adapt to changing market conditions. As VP Operations, you are the key driver in continuously developing the product companies to world-class operational excellence within manufacturing. A successful candidate for this position will excel at cross-functional collaboration and be passionate about continuous improvement in manufacturing environments.

    In this role, your main responsibilities will be to:

    • Create a safety-first culture and safe working environment for all employees.
    • Lead the reduction of the environmental impact of production and achieving sustainability within a circular economy.
    • Develop and execute the operations strategy in alignment with overall company goals and objectives.
    • Strategically develop operations including footprint strategy and roadmap execution considering marketing strategy input, new product development, and geopolitical developments.
    • Together with the global sourcing organization, establish and develop a competitive supplier base from a total cost perspective.
    • Collaborate with other functions such as Marketing, R&D, Sales, and Supply Chain to ensure a customer-centric flow from order to delivery.
    • Drive a culture of continuous improvement in line with Epiroc Flow program throughout the entire manufacturing chain, leading to best-in-class performance in quality, cost, and delivery.
    • Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency and enhance overall productivity.
    • Foster colllaboration between manufacturing entities as well as process and systems alignment to ensure optimal use of the total manufacturing footprint.
    • Follow-up and secure the financial performance of the manufacturing entities’ P&L and B/S, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
    • Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative working culture and be a visible ambassador for our core values and business code of conduct.
    • Provide leadership and mentorship, promoting employees’ development and inspiring others to grow.

    Experience and requirements:

    • Solid experience of successfully leading and developing production in an international setting.
    • Proven track record of implementing strategy at scale.
    • Strong leadership skills, with experience leading global teams.
    • General business understanding and knowledge of the total supply chain, from order to delivery, is required.
    • University degree in Engineering – master’s level preferred, additional education in business, sales, or people management is a plus.
    • Strong knowledge of using computer tools for analyses (e.g., Excel). Good knowledge in other programs (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, BI).
    • Fluency in English is required, both written and verbally.

    Location:

    Location can be at any of our manufacturing entities. Extensive international travel is a natural part of this position.

    RGD has manufacturing entities in Fagersta (Sweden), Fort Loudon (USA), Langley (Canada), Johannesburg (South Africa), Hyderabad (India) and Zhangjiakou (China)
