    VP: Solutions

    Responsibilities

    • The VP Solutions is responsible for leading a team of experienced solution consultants and solution architects. This responsibility includes defining the methodologies and playbooks that are required to consistently deploy solutions successfully across our global markets using geographically located teams. In South Africa, our VP Solutions will work closely with many of our early customers. For other territories, the VP Solutions is the competency lead and our global thought leader on solutions methodologies and experiences.

     

    Pre-sales consulting

    • Develop and propose pre-sales solutions designs for use in late stage proposals
    • Contribute to boiler plate solution templates that can be re-used in the sales cycle
    • Engage with our key customers’ technical stakeholders to articulate key Entersekt solution components and integration approaches
    • Understand and articulate customer requirements to ensure their requirements are met by the proposed solution
    • Assist in preparing strategically important RFP responses

     

    Solution Design

    • Ensure solution designs are practical and achievable using Entersekt product
    • Develop strategies for closing product fit gaps
    • Develop solution blueprints for customer projects
    • Define the commercial propositions for the implementation efforts on proposed solutions

     

    Solution Integration

    • Configure and install the Entersekt solutions on customer projects
    • Work with project managers to develop and update integration plans
    • Work with customer integration teams to design, build and deploy products

     

    POCs and First Projects

    • Work directly with Entersekt customers to trial new product features or partner integrations
    • Develop integration and solution templates and playbooks for new or updated Entersekt products and product features

     

    Partners

    • Develop a global solutions integration community of partners who are skilled and trained to integrate and extend the competency for Entersekt and work with regional GMs to staff appropriately for customer and product mix

     

    People and Financial management

    • Develop a global solutions competency for Entersekt and work with regional GMs to staff appropriately for customer and product mix
    • Ensure that solutions teams are scheduled for work on projects in a visible and measurable way
    • Ensure that the cost and revenue of solutions teams are accounted for and work with commercial teams to charge appropriately

     

    Reporting and Knowledge

    • Develop a global solutions scorecard and ensure that key metrics for solutions work is published
    • Actively advance the reputation of the Entersekt solutions teams globally
    • Maintain a global customer experience database that encourages re-use of leading thinking and previous customer project artefacts

     

    Metrics for Success

    Success for this role will be measured by

    • Customer satisfaction score (post implementation) and Net Promotor Score
    • Quality metrics (post go-live issue counts)

     

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
    Ideally we are looking for someone with:

    • Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant IT degree
    • 7+ years’ experience managing and leading teams in a system integrator
    • Experience in a financial services, telecommunications, or mobile industry is beneficial
    • Excellent demonstrable communication skills, both written and spoken
    • Ability to communicate at various levels in a customer organisation
    • Formal business and/or SI consulting experience is an advantage
    • The ability to understand technology and business strategy, and move between both worlds
