Warehouse Supervisor - Abe at Saint-Gobain

POSITION DESCRIPTION

• To ensure that the KZN National DC provides the highest service levels to branch warehouse and export customers.
• To ensure that the National DC manage stock receipts from all supply points timeously and accurately, manage their inventory levels to within prescribed levels and correctly process all ILT’s(Inter Location Transfers) and Exports orders

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric
• National Diploma in a relevant field
• Forklift driver licence
• Computer literate
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Team player
• Be able to work independently and target driven
• Highly organised and excellent planning skills
• Works with sense of urgency, motivated and able to make sound decisions while working under pressure

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Assist in planning, monitoring and controlling ILT’s received from branches (ensuring FIFO/FEFO)
• Process accurately and timeously all transfer documentation into and out of the DC, ensuring that the processing matches the physical stock moved
• Efficiently report and rectify any shipment discrepancies between all parties – ensuring that weekly reconciliations are completed
• Checking accuracy , Verify all stock received and dispatched In and out of the warehouse
• Responsible for the Quarantine Stores, product shelf life extensions and reworks
• Reporting on all Non Conformance in the Warehouse
• Supervising, overseeing and the activities across the teams and ensuring that functional systems are in place on daily bais
• Assist with daily, weekly and monthly stock counts – ensuring that the DC inventory is accurate both physically and as reflected on the system
• Ensure that controls and interventions/capabilities of identifying deviations and through investigation, verification and correction accurate inventory levels are maintained
• Housekeeping to be maintained on daily basis
• Ensuring that Warehouse equipments are maintained according to the requirements of the company
• Knowledge of OHS
• Stacking inspections
• Rack inspection
• Ensure all stock is in a neat, saleable condition at all times
• Assisting with management of the ILT process
• Weekly BB dates recon
• Work on tight deadlines in a demanding high warehouse volumes
• Ensure that stock is loaded timeously, arrives on time and in full
• Able to work extended hours when required and weekends
• Maintain management information systems and procedures, and generate reports as required within your department
• Work closely with the Production & Procurement teams, communicating unforeseen demand requests and assisting with planning as and when required
• Manage document flow, filing systems and work process – ensuring that all admin is completed to the company standards and according to work instructions
• Identify and correct unsafe practices or activities within your department and relevant areas of control
• Facilitate the loading of export stock into containers if required by the export department, ensuring that all company and statutory requirements are adhered to
