    Accounts Clerk

    Job Description

    • We are looking for a skilled Accounts Clerk to perform a variety of bookkeeping tasks.
    • The Accounts Clerk's responsibilities include keeping accounting records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. We are currently working with Epic ERP and Pastel accounting software programs to process business transactions  (accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts). A successful accounting assistant should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers.
    • Ultimately, a successful Accounting Clerk will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
    • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
    • General ledger postings and statements
    • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
    • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
    • Provide assistance and support to company personnel
    • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
    • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas as required
    • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
    • Constantly update job knowledge

    Qualifications

    • Matric with Maths
    • Relevant diploma or degree would be a plus
    • Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk
    • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
    • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
    • Hands on experience with Excel spreadsheets and financial reports
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
    • Aptitude for numbers
    • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
    • Data entry and work processing skills
    • Well organised
    • Must have own reliable vehicle with valid drivers licence
    • Must be a South African citizen
    • Non-smoker with English as primary language
    • Must be resident within the Centurion, Midrand areas

    Operations/HR Assistant

    Job Description

    Good all-rounder required to assist with the following:

    • Draft policies and procedures
    • Updating of work flow
    • Induction and On-boarding of new staff
    • New Employee contracts
    • Work with Seta to recoop training spend
    • Filing of confidential records, both hard copy and electronic
    • Assist with company POPI compliance - drafting and typing of policies.
    • Maintain data integrity in ERP system
    • Manage company requisitions
    • Man switchboard
    • Assist with any other day-to-day work as and when required

    Qualifications

    • Matric with Maths
    • English 1st language, excellent communication, both written and oral
    • Familiar with Office 365 with Teams
    • Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint
    • Advanced Excel – must know Pivot tables, basic formulas
    • IT knowledge including working on Cloud platform
    • HR Diploma would be preferable
    • Own vehicle with valid driver’s license
    • Must reside within the Centurion, Midrand, Fourways areas

    Logistics Administrator

    Job Description
    Highly experienced Export Clerk required for a very busy Export Department. Please note this is not a warehouse or fleet management role. The role involves doing all the export documentation for commodities going to various African countries. You will therefore have experience with the export requirements to various African countries and have good relationships with various Clearing Agents at the different border posts.

    • We require the ideal candidate to frame export documents using Easyclear.
    • Must be an expert on the Easyclear system (Cloud version)
    • Must have a broad knowledge of export codes (HS Codes/Commodity Code) across a wide range of commodities
    • Must have experience in the export of vehicles and the required documents and processes
    • Do VOC's as and when required
    • Issue SADC certificates as and when required
    • Arrange Bureau Veritas inspections for export goods
    • Commercial Invoicing and Packing Slips
    • Book trucks, ships, airfreight, courier services as and when required
    • Book the rental or purchase of containers
    • Liaise with clearing agents on a daily basis
    • Liaise with truck drivers on a daily basis in order to complete shipment tracking
    • Able to resolve issues at the different border posts
    • Keep administration duties up to date, i.e. scanning, printing, filing

    Qualifications

    • Matric with mathematics
    • English first language
    • Fully versed with Easyclear cloud version, export documentation, SADC, BV inspections, duty charges, surcharges, etc for various African countries as well as permit and license requirements
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Experience on Microsoft 365, Teams would be beneficial
    • Knowledge and experience with ERP computer systems
    • Knowledge of truck sizes, load capacities
    • At least 5+ years’ experience within logistics
    • Must be resident within the Midrand, Centurion, Pretoria or Fourways areas
    • Own vehicle and valid drivers’ license required
