Responsibilities and Duties
- Process, analyse and model GIS data for Forestry applications
- Ensure ongoing quality assurance, maintenance and distribution of spatial data
- Provide support to end-users by generating maps, GIS reports and information products
- Compile and organise GIS data from maps, databases and other sources
- Convert mapping resources and data into usable formats
- Perform quality control on data collection projects
- Handle general enquiries and market GIS products to clients
- Produce high-quality maps for various purposes
- Digitise data from aerial photography and satellite imagery as needed
- Collect field data to support analysis and decision-making
Qualifications and Skills
- Matric / Grade 12
