    Operations Manager

    Job Context 

    • You will be based in Johannesburg, to oversee and manage the Operation/ Contracts/ Tender process.
    • You will undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required/ instructed in order to maintain and or improve the efficiency, quality and service provider by LESA management team and by the Operation Management Department.
    • You will undertake business travel abroad or with the LESA sales region as and when required.

    • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
    • Create and formulate as well as follow dedicated and focused business plans.
    • Support Sales Team on developing of new markets for Lucy products and services.
    • Identifying new opportunities for continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes.
    • Contribute to new product development for and on behalf of the business and coordinate actively with all marketing and engineering functions regionally and globally.
    • Actively contribute to the direction of the business as a member of the Senior Management team of LESA
    • Oversee the planning and organization of a production process and ensure availability of necessary material, equipment, and labour resources required for a project.
    • Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant.
    • Oversee the implementation of systems and ensure proper allocation of resources for it
    • Support the Development & execute plans with the Energy Service Manager which produce profitable Energy Services revenue.
    • Develop a great relationship with businesses and responds to questions from management, employees, customers, and vendors.
    • Working with broad team including finance, sales, logistics, engineering, and the plants to coordinate and drive business success.

    Qualifications, Experience & Skills

    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and or Electrical Engineering or similar

    Minimum Experience & Knowledge

    • Minimum 6 years working experience in similar industry and with at least 3 years in leadership or managerial role.
    • Knowledge of Medium Voltage Switchgear.
    • Extensive experience in commercial or selling role in Africa in the Distribution sector.
    • Self driven, individual with business acumen
    • Background on tendering process as well as contracts management
    • PC literate including MS Office and D365.
    • Excellent verbal, written communication & presentation skills.

    Area Sales Manager

    Job purpose:

    • Lead sales in the regions responsible, Gauteng but not limited to Gauteng and other regions agreed upon, focus on Consultants, Contractors, EPC’s and Mining. 
    • Support and actively contribute to tenders and quotes in support to Back Office.
    • Actively promote and build the Lucy Electric brand and associated products for the region. 
    • Support to Technical and Energy Service.

    Key Accountabilities:

    Duties and Requirements includes but is not limited to the following:

    • Create and formulate and follow dedicated and focused business plans for existing, emerging, and new markets in the territory and develop and execute these in line with 5-year MTP together with LESA Management.
    • Identify and develop new markets for Lucy products and services.
    • Contribute to new product development for and on behalf of the regional business and co[1]ordinate activity with all marketing and engineering functions regionally and globally.
    • Identify new partnering possibilities for Lucy products, including maximising package/mini substation opportunities for the market.
    • Work with the sales teams in other regions for tendering reviews in assistance with Reginal Sales Manager.
    • Attending trade shows, events, and conferences to gain knowledge and network with industry professionals within the LESA territory.
    • Actively contribute to the direction of the business as a member of the Senior Management team of LESA.
    • Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
    • Ability to present technical information to clients and customers.
    • Ability to read, write, analyse, and interpret complex technical documents.
    • Primary customer liaison, both internally and externally.
    • Attending to customer account queries, providing statements/remittances, and following up of ‘Overdues’ with the assistance of the Finance Dept.
    • Monitor customer demand and provide feedback internally.
    • Administration and management of quotations, sales orders.
    • Forecast sales and pass information to production for scheduling.
    • Ensuring timeous and accurate reporting and that monthly sales deadlines are met.
    • Maintain and update active customer contact list, initiate, and drive the ‘Customer Satisfaction Survey’ process.
    • Provide support within other Dept’s when required, including assisting during year-end audits and stock take.
    • Maintaining and growing existing customer accounts by providing exceptional customer service and identifying further opportunities to increase sales.

    Job Context:

    • The role will be based in Johannesburg, Republic of South Africa. Visits to SADC region customers can be required as and when required. 
    • To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed in order to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by LESA management team and by the Sales & Marketing Department. 
    • To undertake business travel within the LESA sales region as and when required.

    Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: -

    • Diploma in Sales and/or Electrical Engineering or similar.
    • Minimum 6 - 10 years’ experience within a Technical and/or Electrical Sales (internal & external) environment preferably with at least exposure in Senior Leadership/ Managerial role.
    • Have a background of liaising with Mining houses, specifying products/solutions with Consulting Engineers as well as with EPC’s contractors.
    • Self-driven individual with business acumen.
    • Computer Packages: Advanced Microsoft Computer applications, understanding CRM systems Microsoft Dynamics
    • An Un-endorsed and Valid driver’s license.
    • Own Vehicle is essential.
    • Valid Passport.

    Junior Project Engineer

    Job Purpose:

    • Manage, plan, organise, and control activities so that the project is completed as successfully as possible.
    • Be responsible for communication between finance, procurement and warehouse as well as being responsible for client and supplier communications.
    • Provide input to monthly relevant forecast report.

    Key Accountabilities:

    •   Coordination and management of projects.
    •   Manages, monitors and controls project progress.
    •   Technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience Medium Voltage Switchgear (RMU).
    •   Working closely with Warehouse, Energy Service and External Sales Team.
    •   Weekly report back on status of projects and keep project report updated.
    •   Prepare or liaise with Procurement on order deliveries to ensure on deliveries are met.
    •   Inform customer on order readiness and keep customer up to date on the progress of their order.
    •   Alert Financial Department with customer orders to be dispatched for invoicing.
    •   Create and maintain Bill of Materials
    •   Supporting the Finance office, to manage the project budget.
    •   Assist with project administration.
    •   Asist with preparing all stock order requirements which needs to be placed (monitor stock requirements)
    •   Liaise with customers on delivery lead-time weekly.
    •   Analyse quoted prices and cost versus actual price to ensure margins are maximised.

    Performance Indicators:

    •   Project are completed within the estimated time and within the estimated budget
    •   Timeous placing order request
    •   Manage stakeholders expectations

    Job Context:

    • Provide timeous offerings and solutions to customers and potential customer to support LESA’s sales. Liaise with relevant stakeholders within LE, but not limited to LE, to ensure customer deliveries efficiency and timeously.

    Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

    •   Bachelor’s Degree, National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
    •   Minimum 2 - 4 years’ experience in a project and contract environment
    •   Prior experience or knowledge in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical field
    •   Computer literacy in MS Office, Excel Spreadsheet and Outlook
    •   Excellent presentation skills
    •   Financial Acumen.
    •   Solution Oriented and Service Focused.
    •   Team player with strong analytical skills, able to contribute actively.

    Job-Specific Skills:

    •   Solid previous experience in Administration/Sales/Tendering/Contracts.
    •   Good communication, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving skills.
    •   Commercial astute to efficiently multi geographical sales team
    •   Excellent knowledge of Administrative management
