    ER Coordinator (REF: IVP-HR)

    • IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to   develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

    Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • Grade 12.
    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field
    • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
    • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • 3 years’ relevant experience
    • Proven work experience in Employee Relations or a similar HR role

    The Role requirements include, but not be limited to:

    • Facilitating communication between employees and management, and resolving employee relations issues
    • Maintain good relationship between organized labour and Management.
    • Facilitate and manage employee relations, including conflict resolutions and disciplinary actions
    • Conducting investigations into employee complaints or concerns
    • Implementing, administering and advising on company policies and procedures
    • Providing guidance and advice to management on progressive discipline and performance improvement issues
    • Keeping records of all employee interactions and details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken
    • Organizing and conducting employee information meetings on employment policy, benefits, and compensation
    • Identifying trends and patterns in employee relations and proposing solutions to improve the work environment
    • Training and mentoring HR team members on employee relations processes and best practices
    • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
    • Investigate employee grievances and conduct thorough inquiries to resolve conflicts and recommend appropriate actions.

    HR Officer Systems (REF: IVP-HR)

    • Grade 12
    • HR Diploma
    • MS Office experience and knowledge
    • Understanding of data integration issues.

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • 3 Years’ experience in a similar position in an HR Mining environment and/or experience as an HR Assistant will be advantageous.
    • Experience in Manning and HR Systems especially Sage & Xtime.
    • Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities

    The Role requirements include, but not be limited to:

    • Manage and maintain HRIS for efficient data management and reporting.
    • Analyse HR data to provide insights for decision-making.
    • Ensure the security and integrity of HR data.
    • Management of shift exceptions and overtime
    • Monitoring of shift clearances from the T&A Clerks
    • Responsible for Overseeing the T&A Clerks
    • Overtime timesheet maintenance
    • Distribution of Awop reports to subordinates
    • Responsible for analysing and generating bonus report for sections to payroll for payment.
    • Ensure that the Xtime system is always kept Up to date and upgraded where needed.
    • Ensure that best practices are adhered to and that all new developments in time and attendance system are evaluated and approved by line management
    • Initiate improvement of the time-keeping process.
    • Maintaining effective HR administration systems
    • Ensure the maintenance of the system is followed in terms of the guidelines laid down by Xtime.
    • Overseer hardware maintenance and ensure the clocking systems are functioning properly
    • Generate a report for employees who have not clocked for more than 30 days for action, especially for contractors.
    • Monitoring of the shift cycles and pay rules on the Xtime system
    • Running audits on the system as and when is required to keep efficiency running of the system.

    TSF Site Coordinator (REF: IVP-PL)

Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

    Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • National Diploma in civil engineering or construction management will be advantageous
    • Familiarity with project management software
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Valid Driver’s license

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • 3-5 years of experience in Tailings operations or Civil construction and earthworks 
    • Proven experience in a coordinating role, preferably in a similar industry.
    • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.

    The Role requirements include, but not be limited to:

    • Responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our Dry Stack Tailings Storage Facility (DSTSF), ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining a safe, well-organised environment 
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies 
    • Manage and run operation's different shifts and ensure that any rotating shifts are taken into account 
    • Approves time sheets by coordinating efforts with DSTSF Overseer 
    • Assist new staff members in understanding and creating timesheets to log their hours timely
    • Communicate regularly with DSTSF Overseer and team members
    • Oversee site staff and provide guidance and support as needed 
    • Monitor site inventory and manage procurement of supplies 
    • Handle scheduling and ensure timely completion of tasks
    • Communication between different departments 
    • Address any arising issues and troubleshoot problems on-site 
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to site activities 
    • Oragnise and lead regular team meetings and briefings
