    Product Owner

    We are looking for an experienced and passionate Product Owner to assist and add value to our development team. Our Dev team is a full-stack workforce that functions within an agile environment. Using our evolving processes, we conceive, specify, design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, frameworks and platforms.

    GLI are currently in the process of implementing a company-wide project to increase our scope in the iGaming industry. The Product Owner will conduct thorough business analysis ensuring all aspects of features are clearly defined for our developers, that GLI is compliant with online gaming standards, and help the team achieve their product delivery goals. By acting as the primary liaison for stakeholders, anticipating needs and taking a proactive approach in the project delivery, the product owner ensures value creation for GLI and our clients.

    The Product Owner will collaborate with the Lead Product Owner and Development team, prioritizing needs, over-seeing development stages and ultimately motivating and leading the team to successful project delivery.

    Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Develops requirements working with stakeholders/product owner and/or clients
    • Documentation of business requirements at a high level
    • Document lower-level features
    • Assist the product owner team lead in backlog refinement and sprint planning meetings
    • Available to the team to answer questions during development
    • Assist the product owner team lead by performing user acceptance testing of features developed by the team
    • Assist in advising client clients on features versus technology and system capabilities
    • Feature design with development leads and UX designer
    • Assist with Product vision, goals and future
    • Help to set agreed success criteria for product features

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Business Analysis, Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, Software or Finance related qualification preferred
    • 3 years of related experience beneficial
    • Strong maths, statistics and logical skills
    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies beneficial
    • Displays positive attitude
    • Demonstrates flexibility in day-to-day work

    Affiliate Marketing Manager

    We are looking for an Affiliate Marketing Manager to join our GLI family in Century City.

    The Affiliate Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving traffic towards the company’s client gaming websites. The role will oversee the affiliate team, and involve identifying and signing up new affiliate partners, promoting the industry leading affiliate program to them, and effectively managing the on-going relationship with existing affiliate partners. This person defines long-term strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

    Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • New Business Development – drive traffic, analyze results, adjust advertising and landing pages. Growth is the number one goal.  
    • Ensure acquisition growth through acquiring new players and clients. Analyze all acquisition activities to find out what to stop and where to push resources
    • Take responsibility for the performance of the Affiliate team
    • Provide oversight, guidance and leadership to the team
    • Recruit new qualified affiliates on a global basis to deliver on new account goals
    • Reactivating a dormant base of affiliates in the program
    • Develop and successfully negotiate commercial agreements with affiliates.
    • Plan and organize promotions that encourage affiliates to generate acquisitions.
    • Successfully negotiate and conclude positioning agreements with affiliates.
    • Selection and briefing of appropriate creative.
    • Co-ordination of back-end fulfilment with other departments.
    • Measurement of affiliate performance by monitoring key metrics such as customers acquired, cost per acquisition, deal break evens and overall revenue generated.
    • Maximise affiliate performance based on measurements, through changes to creative, positioning, price, etc.
    • Networking and attendance at international conferences
    • Liaise, organise and provide input into stand designs
    • Attend networking opportunities
    • Manage the team attending the conference
    • Building and improving processes, systems and features to support business growth in acquiring new online affiliates
    • Account managing a portfolio of existing affiliate partners to maximize revenue generation
    • Nurture existing affiliates to deliver incremental revenue
    • Ensure affiliate payments happen timeously and correctly
    • Ensure the affiliate programme website is up to date and improved

    Skills and Qualifications

    • 3 years Business, Marketing or related degree or experience
    • 5 years of Affiliate marketing experience – preferably in the igaming/casino industry.
    • A strong sales / acquisition / commercial negotiation background – with experience in meeting revenue and new business targets consistently
    • Experience with online marketing models – CPA (Cost Per Action), CPC (Cost-Per-Click ) and CPM (Cost-Per-Mill) and Revenue share payment models
    • Solid negotiation and deal closure ability / excellent business acumen essential to liaise with clients International travel experience/exposure Experience in the global market place, International travel experience / exposure non-negotiable
    • Experience in creating and executing online marketing campaigns
    • Ability to design and implement strategies for global markets
    • Ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level and manage a high level of complexity

    The purpose of the retention marketer is to oversee then retention marketing strategy for the English Territories.     • 3+ years’ experience in retention marketing or similar role preferred, using broad marketing mix

    Senior Devops Engineer

    Our Dev House is a full-stack workforce that functions within an agile environment. Using our evolving processes, we conceive, specify, design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, frameworks and platforms.

    As part of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining infrastructure as well as building and supporting the various DevOps activities. The company is expanding into further international territories in addition to building and rolling out a new software platform. This creates an exciting environment where there is opportunity for interesting work to be carried out from a DevOps point of view.

    Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Maintenance and management of internal and external infrastructure required for software development and production (server, switches, firewalls, routing, vm’s etc)
    • Continuous delivery and software tooling to aid the software development process and production deployment strategies.
    • Continuous integration tooling on servers to aid in the software development process. Kubernetes experience is very welcome.
    • Management of virtual environments, including: VMWare, ProxMox.
    • Find opportunities to remove repetitive and/or error prone tasks via automation
    • Ensuring maximum uptime via the continuous monitoring of critical services. This includes ensuring all the required monitoring is in place.
    • After hours and weekend support according to a support schedule. Requires 24/7 availability for support.
    • Ensure that the provisioned equipment is being utilised efficiently to maximise the efficiency and capacity of the systems and meet business needs.
    • Collaborate with the software development staff to ensure their development infrastructure requirements are catered for.
    • Ensure redundancy on all systems.
    • Ensure all systems have documented and tested backup plans.
    • Ensure IT assets are correctly maintained in inventories.
    • Manage the configuration of the various platforms utilised for production and development.
    • Assist the development teams to manage code from local devices through to production via multiple development environments. I.e. the manage the DevOps life cycle.
    • Collaborate with the software development teams on infrastructure requirements for new features and services to be delivered to production. This includes planning, design, documentation and implementation of new production systems.
    • Produce design and systems documentation where required.
    • Develop and improve operational practices and procedures.
    • Continuous optimization and improvement to existing processes, systems and infrastructure.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Excellent knowledge with System Administration in Linux. (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and associated technologies.
    • Basic knowledge managing version control platforms. (eg: Git, Perform, SVN, TFVC)
    • Working knowledge of package management systems. (eg: rpm, deb , etc)
    • Working knowledge of network services. (eg: NFS, ISCI, SAMBA, LDAP, DNS , etc)
    • Strong knowledge of the OSI model and the layers.
    • Strong knowledge of Linux commands. (eg: df, ip, cd, netstat, htop. etc)

    Required Experience

    • Working knowledge with relational and non-relational databases. (eg: PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL & MongoDB)
    • Strong knowledge of web server technologies. (eg: NGINX, Apache HTTPD, HAProxy)
    • Experience in one or more programming languages. (eg: Java, Node.js, Javascript or PHP)
    • Working experience with one or more of the scripting languages. (eg: Bash, Python, Perl or PHP, etc)
    • Experience in configuring backup and recovery applications. (eg: Bacula, Veeam, Netbackup, etc)
    • Working experience with one or more monitoring applications. (eg: Zabbix, New Relic, Datadog, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)
    • Experience with the following in-memory databases. (eg: Memcache, Redis)
    • Experience with development methodologies. (eg: Agile, Scrum, Jira, Bitbucket etc)
    • Working knowledge of configuration management tools. (eg: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc)
    • Working knowledge of centralized logging. (eg: Logstash, Rsyslog, Graylog Splunk, etc)
    • DevOps lifecycle setup, management, optimisation and operations.

    Advantageous Experience
