    Fruit & Veg Supervisor - Nongoma

    Purpose of the Role:

    To provide supervision in the Wholesale Store Fruit & Veg Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products, excellent customer service, and compliance with food and safety regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction to wholesale standards
    • Maintaining food quality to Cambridge standards
    • Ensure that all Food and Health and Safety requirements are adhered to by applying daily practices.
    • Ordering, receiving, storing and issuing all food items as per Wholesale Fruit & Veg Procedures and Standards.
    • Monitoring shrinkage and ensuring that this is kept to minimum.
    • IBT transfers are very important and must be are adhered to on a daily basis; and captured daily in the transfer book.
    • Managing and controlling all personnel in the unit as per labour legislation and Wholesale Human Resource policy.
    • All staff must adhere to the Food and Safety requirements – at all times; ensuring all staff has received the necessary training and certification in this regard.
    • Coaching , training and mentoring of staff members within the Wholesale Food Fruit & Veg Department
    • Initiating disciplinary action when necessary
    • Motivating and maintaining morale of staff in the wholesale Food Fruit & Veg Department
    • Drawing up and ensuring compliance with staff schedules for all personnel in the wholesale Food Fruit & Veg Department.
    • Ensuring compliance to all internal and legislative requirements.

    Requirements:

    Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required for this position

    • Minimum Grade 12 / Matric
    • Minimum of two years experience in a wholesale environment
    • Knowledge of Fruit & Veg - procedures and products is an advantage
    • Sound understanding of Food and Safety requirements
    • Previous supervisory experience is preferable
    • Able to work independently and under pressure; retail working hours apply
    • High level of integrity
    • Understanding of procedures, policies and rules and regulations pertaining to Fruit & Veg
    • Ability to communicate in English both verbal and written

    ITSM ServiceNow Developer

    Summary:

    ServiceNow developer is responsible for the ServiceNow platform of the entire management organization, which supports IT service management to automate business processes. The role involves designing, configuring, developing, troubleshooting, and implementing baseline and custom applications to enhance the platform for efficient operations.

    Maintain and support the ServiceNow platform across multiple business units, by developing new requirements, administrating the system configuration and ensure that standards are maintained as per ITIL and ServiceNow guidelines and all internal standards.

    The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for configuring and developing ongoing business needs and changes for the ServiceNow ITSM tool. Perform day-to-day maintenance of the ServiceNow platform across multiple business units.

    Provide recommendations based on business requirements, analyse, and translate into technical development. Managing and maintaining the core system configurations, aligning to ITIL standards and Global guidelines.

    The position will be responsible for developing the ITSM tool based on requirements, scripting custom workflows, service catalogues, templates, and records. Deploying ServiceNow configurations, testing configurations and customizations while complying to overall governance. Provide system training and knowledge transfer in an easy and understandable manner.

    Provide expert opinion on proactive optimization and new opportunities to streamline the tool and processes.

    FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsibly for day-to-day development and uptime of ServiceNow, including but not limited to updates, enhancements, configurations, and reporting.
    • Responsible for all development related to call management and ServiceNow tool
    • Own the strategic roadmap defined by Senior manager.
    • Primary contact for executives, PMO and technical stakeholders in providing ServiceNow system configuration, maintenance, planning, requirements gathering, training and report generation.
    • Ensure system validity, integrity, data integrity and credibility.
    • Handle all enhancement requests and develop on modules used on the platform.
    • Implement changes according to the established Change Management process.
    • Monitor application performance and analyse where improvements can be made for efficient operations.
    • Provide post implementation and upgrade support including, but not limited to, monitoring application performance, functionality, debugging support and system testing.
    • Advise teams on design, configuration, development, troubleshooting and overall best practice configuration of ServiceNow.
    • Work closely with the development team to grow and enhance skills and knowledge across the application.
    • Provide after hour and on-call support, as and when needed.

    Requirements:

    Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required for this position

    • Bachelor’s degree /Advanced Diploma in computer science, computer engineering, or information technology.
    • Developer certification, JAVA, Linux, OS understanding > 15years
    • Advanced knowledge and certification in the following areas of ServiceNow – Workflow Editing, Report Generation, Performance Analytics, Update Sets, Glide Records and Systems, SQL Database Management, Templates, Webservices API (REST & SOAP), MID server, etc. +10 years

    Experience:

    • 10+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow components such as Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, Change, Asset, Release, Knowledge, etc.
    • 15 + years’ experience with ITIL framework
    • 15 + years’ experience with object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks.
    • Advanced knowledge (+15 years) of programming languages including JavaScript, HTML5, Java, C++, and PHP.
    • Knowledge of software systems and frameworks including AnglularJS, Git, GitHub, and .NET. (+15 years)
    • Certified System developer (CSA)
    • ITIL v4 certified
    • ISO 20000 certification

    Incident and SLA Manager

    Summary:

    • Accountable for service desk, incident and service level management and related reporting for all divisions in the Massmart group. This role is critical to ensuring rapid resolution times and system uptime for Massmart’s IT customers.

    FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Operational Management

    • Implement the processes for a short, medium, and long term ITSM Incident, Service Level and reporting strategy, for the entire service line.
    • Champion SLA management and reporting capabilities with all Massmart internal and External stakeholders.

    Service Desk Management

    • Manage the Service Desk Outsource
    • Manage Service Desk KPI’s
    • Manage Service Desk CSI
    • Manage Strategic direction
    • Oversee all Service Desk Processes

    Incident Management

    • Accountable and responsible for the ITIL incident management discipline in Massmart
    • Describe standards for incident management, reporting and metrics
    • Drive all Major Incidents and P1’s to resolution, for all Massmart divisions.
    • Complete Major Incident Reports and manage the process.
    • Manage the Incident and request SLA’s with all resolvers.
    • Improve incident resolution times across the board

    Service Level Management

    • Actively manage SLA compliance for all support groups, both internal and external.
    • Provide standardized SLA reporting and metrics across the board.
    • Improve support process to enable efficient resolution of incidents and requests
    • Engage in service management forums to report on and drive SLA compliance.
    • Improve SLA adherence across all banners and resolver groups

    Stakeholder Management

    • Regular liaison with other teams in the Service Management & Delivery vertical, Business IT and core Business Stakeholders.

    Knowledge Management

    • Keep abreast with latest tools, technologies and trends in the area of change management that have the potential to be deployed in Massmart
    • Serve as an enabler for innovative solutions and foresee trends in technology
    • Develop and enable process improvements, champion standards and operational health.
    • Contribute to the knowledge base following learnings in from the disciplines associated with this role.

    Requirements:

    Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications & Experience required for this position

    • Relevant NQF7 qualification (Bachelor’s Degree or Bachelor of Technology/ Advanced Diploma).

    Experience:

    • 5+ years’ experience managing the ITIL disciplines related to this role
    • 5+ years of experience in information systems operations environment
    • 5+ years’ experience in incident analysis and reporting
    • ITIL certified
    • ISO 20000 experience
