    HR Business Partner - Ribumed Glenwood, Ballito, Citimed & Ascot Park Hospital

    PURPOSE OF POSITION

    • To provide strategic human resources partnership to business leaders by aligning people strategies with organizational objectives, supporting organizational effectiveness, driving talent and performance management initiatives, managing employee relations, and facilitating change to improve business performance.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Partner with management to support recruitment and talent acquisition initiatives.
    • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development programmes.
    • Provide HR guidance to line managers on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
    • Identify training and development needs and coordinate employee training programmes.
    • Ensure HR compliance with labour legislation and company policies, in line with requirements of the Department of Employment and Labour.
    • Oversee HR processes including payroll coordination, leave management, and statutory reporting.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12
    • Relevant Degree or HR Qualification.
    • Minimum of 5 years HR experience.
    • 2 Year's Experience working on the Sage People Payroll system.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge.
    • Must be able to work under pressure, independently and unsupervised.
    • Own vehicle is essential as incumbent will be required to travel between subsidiaries.
    • Manage accuracy and integrity of data.
    • Must be able to understand the need to maintain discretion and confidentiality.

    SKILLS

    • Strong knowledge of labour legislation and HR best practices.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

    Hospital Manager - Ribumed Medical Care-Ballito & Ribumed Glenwood Day Hospital

    PURPOSE OF POSITION

    • Provide strong strategic, professional, and managerial leadership for all aspects of health service operations at the Hospitals.
    • Implement the operational strategy, monitor and manage operational performance, and oversee the delivery of effective facilities management at the Hospitals.
    • Hold authority and accountability for the safe and effective delivery and performance of day-to-day clinical services and departments at the Hospitals.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Assist with the development and implementation of the strategic operational plans for both Hospitals, in line with the overarching JMH Group strategy.
    • Support the Hospitals in achieving their objectives and actively participate as a member of the management team, taking collective responsibility for the corporate governance of the hospitals.
    • Develop and maintain key working relationships with the Group General Manager, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), members of the JMH Group Executive, and external healthcare service providers to ensure an integrated and seamless patient experience for recipients of both scheduled and unscheduled care.
    • Ensure that appropriate management systems are in place to anticipate, identify, and effectively manage opportunities and challenges in service delivery.
    • Ensure that all support services within the Hospitals meet the required standards and remain fit for purpose at all times.
    • Work effectively and collaboratively with existing and prospective customers to establish and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships.
    • Identify opportunities to recruit specialist doctors to the hospitals and source new specialists as required.
    • Develop and implement a business growth strategy for the Hospitals, with a specific focus on attracting new doctors and specialists.
    • Monitor and evaluate economic conditions affecting business activities, including industry trends, competition, and relevant legislative and regulatory developments within the healthcare sector.
    • Identify marketing opportunities by assessing customer requirements, analysing market trends, evaluating competitors' market share, strengths and weaknesses, forecasting business growth, and establishing targeted market share objectives.
    • Understand the JMH Group brand strategy and develop and implement targeted initiatives to strengthen brand loyalty and promote the JMH Group value proposition.
    • Prepare, manage, and monitor operational budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Assess the relative cost benefits of directly providing services versus procuring services for the Hospitals.
    • Promote sound financial management practices and understand their impact on organisational effectiveness.
    • Liaise with the Human Resources Department regarding transformation initiatives and provide strategic leadership that fosters a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
    • Create and maintain a positive working environment where individual differences are recognised, understood, and valued, enabling all employees to reach their full potential and maximise their contributions.
    • Work closely with the Group General Manager and JMH Group Heads to coordinate and ensure the implementation of all JMH Group policies, procedures, and operational requirements relevant to the Hospitals.
    • Work within JMH Group policies, procedures, and guidelines, in collaboration with Heads of Department (HODs), to deliver both hard and soft facilities management services that maintain high standards of service and provide a safe, efficient environment for patients and service users.
    • Ensure the effective delivery of all capital projects, maintaining consistency, compliance with statutory and mandatory requirements, and alignment with the overall operational and strategic objectives of the Hospitals.
    • Review and evaluate existing hospital/nursing policies, procedures, and work methods through periodic and special studies, and direct the implementation of approved work methods and procedures to ensure the achievement of objectives.
    • Consult and collaborate with physicians, clinical departments, and service lines in establishing policies, standards, procedures, and quality outcomes for patient care.
    • Demonstrate true leadership by setting and encouraging high standards of care and professional conduct among all staff at the Hospital.
    • In collaboration with the HR Department, support and encourage Hospital staff in their personal development through appraisal and supervision. This will include setting objectives, appraising performance, and identifying training and development needs.
