    Exports Finance Analyst

    Job Description

    • Other Adhoc EXPORTS reporting
    • Follow up on all outstanding matters
    • Support timely, well-developed Plans that facilitate the achievement of business objectives by creating sound analytical models
    • Support to all functions across Business Partner and Commercial Team
    • Provide weekly/monthly Outlooks to share with Business Partner – Dashboards
    • Support Exports team to provide financial perspective in all commercial initiatives VOL/NR/Calc GP
    • Supports presentations by creating dashboards from financial systems
    • Ensure the analysis of relevant and reliable financial information for business partner and the commercial team
    • Track year to date performance and by key entity/country. Understand variances and analyse business drivers of same, highlight gaps
    • Trend analysis (volume, pricing, costs) to assess accuracy of targets and recommend opportunities for improvement by country/brand/pack/sku mix
    • Keep track of risks and opportunities to better assess outlook of performance
    • Support calculation in tracking D&A and Pricing improvement or gaps across MU’s and countries/customers

    Qualifications/Requirements

    Key Skills/ Experience Required

    • 3-5 years of relevant Analytical or Actuarial experience / Trends
    • Knowledge of Exports is an advantage
    • Profitability monitoring / Deal Structuring / Dashboard building
    • Strong mathematical / Accounting skills
    • A degree in finance/Actuarial Science; with a sound understanding of other disciplines like sales and supply chain
    • The ability to work with desktop load applications such as Microsoft office, Advance Excel and/or Bower-BI/Tableau is an advantage
    • Multi-country experience; working in Africa advantageous
    • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders

    Job Description

    Conducts diagnosis of equipment failures

    • Works with and through technicians and other employees to establish mechanical and equipment performance before breakdowns were reported
    • Establishes whether the equipment breakdown is related to a missed planned maintenance or part failure or human interference
    • Uses any of the problem (finding and) solving techniques like 5-Whys, RCA, decision trees etc to pin point the real problem behind failures/breakdowns
    • Completes job card in consultation with the maintenance planner and requisitions a part or modifies mechanical parts depending on the outcome of the above.

    Conducts preventative maintenance

    • Performs defined and/or ad hoc condition monitoring on mechanical equipment
    • Completes documentation relating to work done for future reference in the event of failures
    • May replace parts in the event of noted probable failures to ensure continuous equipment running
    • Continuous reference to equipment drawings, engineering standards and GMPs in the performance and closing out of jobs done.

    Planned Maintenance

    • Ensures that scheduled maintenance in terms of Engineering plans is conducted as prescribed following defined protocols and compliance to GMPs
    • Ensures that machined spares are available as and when required and shall schedule time to execute this one
    • Completes job cards and parts requisition documents timeously to improve on mean time to repair thus ensuring high plant availability.

    Plant Breakdowns

    • Attends to all mechanical plant breakdowns following or informed by diagnosis conducted under point 1 above
    • In the event of mechanical modifications, follows defined procedures in updating relevant documention and equipment records
    • Proactively escalates equipment problems to ensure minimal time stoppages
    • Maintains IPS standards on the respective lines
    • Clearly dermacates workstation in accordance with procedures in the event of major work to minimise disruptions and possible injuries as a result of human traffic and area being used as thoroughfare.
    • Adhers to AIB and relevant food safety programmes and environmental protocols.
    • Completes documentation of work done and close out on ad hoc call outs
    • Updates parts/spares records in conjuction with the stores (OEM, machined and generic spares/parts)
    • Monitors equipment performance after attending to and fixing problems.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Qualified Trade Tested Fitter.
    • Min N3 Engineering qualification.
    • Min 3 years post trade test experience within a manufacturing environment.
    • Good mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding skills.
    • Ability to prepare and read mechanical schematics.
    • Ability to carry out basic welding, machining and drilling.
    • Working knowledge of lifting equipment e.g chain blocks, hydraulic jack.
    • Fully conversant with Environmental, Health and Safety Standards
    • Responsible for Technical Assets.
    • Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and maintenance software (SAP preferably)

    Job Description

    Conducts inspections of machinery and equipment units

    • As a dually qualified artisan, he is responsible for conducting inspections of machinery and equipment units guided by OEM standards
    • Monitors equipment and machinery performance and ensures consistency in delivering plant availability
    • Works with and through technicians and other employees to establish equipment performance before the breakdowns were reported.

    • Corrects electrical systems and equipment malfunctions through testing, adjusting, sequencing, synchronizing and aligns such systems and equipment as AC and DC power supplies, main power control panels, motors, generators, circuit breakers and relay panels.
    • Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures.
    • Verify and execute preventive maintenance standards on all electrical distribution equipment.
    • Completes documentation relating to work done for future reference in the event of failures
    • Continuous reference to equipment drawings, engineering standards and GMPs in the performance and closing out of jobs done.
    • Detects defect and malfunctions with machinery and repairs the same.
    • Performs electrical preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on a variety of electrical equipment

    Administration and Document Competion

    • Maintaining a record of all the maintenance work that has been conducted on the machinery.
    • Complete daily shift reports.
    • Ensures that parts and spares are in stock
    • Performing Standby and Shift duties in line with operational requirements.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Trade tested as a Millwright (Mechanical/Electrical)
    • 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in FMCG environment or recognition of prior learning
    • Good knowledge of Automated Systems
    • Team player
    • Ability to work with a diverse workforce
    • Good communication skills
