    Logistics Team Leader

    The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

    • Maintaining the correct and approved staff complements on the relevant shift;
    • Maintaining discipline;
    • Picking and loading of vehicles;
    • Relief for Superintendent;
    • Responsible for housekeeping;
    • Assist with stock takes;
    • Ensure correct allocating and picking of stock takes place.

    The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

    • Must have matric;
    • Experience in a Logistics/ Distribution environment is essential;
    • The person must be computer literate and be prepared to work shifts and public holidays;
    • The candidate should be hardworking, honest, self-motivated and must be willing to work overtime when necessary;

    General Office Assistant

    The ideal candidate would be responsible for:

    • Filing of recons and tickets on a daily basis
    • Oversee financial year records and archive accordingly
    • Replacing binded lever arch files
    • Obtaining signatures from management for approvals
    • Physically matching of invoices from the Engineering/Inventory and Orders departments
    • Matching invoices on excel spreadsheet with the physical invoices
    • Arrange invoices according to the recon numbers

    Logistics Co-Ordinator

     Transport & Fleet Management

    • Carrier Liaison: Maintain a close working relationship with Hestony and other third-party logistics providers to ensure delivery windows are met.
    • Arrival Tracking: Monitor truck movements to ensure on-time offloading at customer sites; proactively assist sales representatives when stores refuse or delay offloading.
    • Issue Resolution: Log and resolve weighbridge queries regarding overloaded vehicles to ensure legal compliance and safety.
    • Logistics Reporting: Provide daily updates to the Logistics and Debtors departments regarding re-routes, ensuring all necessary paperwork and invoice adjustments are submitted accurately.

    Customer Service & Communication

    • Proactive Notification: Directly contact customers regarding delivery delays, non-shipments, or stock shortages, providing clear reasons and revised ETAs.
    • Stakeholder Support: Act as the central point of contact for sales reps and customers regarding truck details and real-time arrival estimates.
    • Client Specific Reporting: Manage specialized reporting requirements for key accounts (e.g., daily delivery status updates for Vector).

    Inventory & Claims Coordination

    • Discrepancy Management: Report "short-supplied" or "missing" stock immediately to the Logistics team for investigation and feedback.
    • Damage Control: Coordinate with the Complaints Department to report damaged stock; ensure all required evidence (photos, pallet numbers, and batch details) is collected for claims processing.

    Administrative & Office Support

    • Sales Integration: Work "hand-in-hand" with the sales team to align delivery priorities with customer needs.
    • Professional Call Handling: Manage incoming inquiries with high professional standards, ensuring accurate message-taking and swift problem resolution.
    • Documentation: Maintain organized records of all logistics-related queries, re-routes, and delivery discrepancies.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    •  Matric or equivalent qualification
    •  2 years of related experience
    •  Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

    • Interaction with Liaison Manager for new business opportunities
