    Temp HR Assistant - SA Steelworks

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    • Assist with the general administrative tasks for the HR Department
    • Assist with the full recruitment cycle by drafting adverts, advertising, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, interviewing for entry level positions and conducting employment checks
    • On boarding of new employees as and when required
    • Maintain and manage the personal records of employees on matters relating to wages, leave and training
    • Assist training and development with administrative functions as and when required

    Qualifying Criteria:

    • Diploma in Human Resource Management
    • Knowledge of the LRA and BCEA
    • 1-2 years of experience in the Human Resources field
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills on all levels
    • Confidentiality, tact and discretion essential when dealing with people

    Business Analyst

    Responsibilities:

    User Support:

    • Serve as a primary point of contact for end-users, addressing inquiries, issues, and requests related to system usage.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions that enhance user satisfaction.
    • Provide timely and effective resolutions to user problems, escalating issues as needed.

    Training:

    • Develop and deliver user training programs, ensuring users have a comprehensive understanding of system functionalities.
    • Create training materials, documentation, and resources to support user learning.
    • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and webinars for individuals and groups.

    System Troubleshooting:

    • Analyse and diagnose system issues, working closely with IT teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
    • Document troubleshooting procedures and maintain a knowledge base for common issues and resolutions.
    • Participate in system testing to ensure functionality meets user requirements.

    Documentation:

    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system functionalities, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
    • Document business processes, requirements, and system architecture for reference and training purposes.
    • Ensure documentation is up-to-date and aligns with system changes and updates.

    System Design:

    • Contribute to the design and enhancement of systems to meet business and user requirements.
    • Collaborate with development teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.
    • Participate in system design reviews, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.

    Business Process Analysis:

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements related to user support and system functionality.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
    • Translate business needs into technical specifications for system enhancements.

    Communication and Collaboration:

    • Foster strong relationships with end-users, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
    • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with IT and Dev teams to prioritize and implement system updates and enhancements.

    Qualifying experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on user support, training, system troubleshooting, documentation, and system design.
    • A minimum of 5 years' experience in business analysis
    • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) or similar
    • Training or certification in relevant areas is a plus.
    • MS Office advanced proficiency - Outlook, MS Word, Excel, Power BI, Vision

    Qualifying attributes:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of relevant software and systems.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently.
    • Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines

    Regional HR Manager – SA Metal Group Gauteng

    Key responsibilities:

    • The following responsibilities cover the Gauteng and surrounds region.
    • The regional manager will report to the Divisional Director of HR based in Cape Town, but will be given significant independence to manage his/her own team -
    • Manage HR Team
    • Manage entire recruitment programme
    • Manage Industrial Relations processes including discipline, grievances, and CCMA cases
    • Advise on legislative requirements and updates
    • Create reports on statistics regarding employment practices
    • Ensure all departments function within the policies and procedures as set out in the company manual.
    • Consult on training requirements

    Qualifying experience:

    • A degree or diploma in Human Resources, Human Capital or Industrial Psychology At least 5 years’ management experience in a medium to large company - preferably in manufacturing or allied industries

    Junior Project Manager

    The successful incumbent will be responsible for the below:

    • Will be appointed as a 2.6.1 manager by the 3.1 Mine manager.
    • Will be reporting daily directly to the project manager.
    • Observe and enforce all codes of practices, instructions, guidelines, directives, permissions, exemptions and other similar instructions, which should be communicated to you in writing by the project manager and the mine.
    • Be responsible for proper discipline of all persons under your charge.
    • Provide and maintain a working environment that is safe and without risk to the health and safety of employees within your area of responsibility.
    • Assist the H&S Officer in identify relevant hazards and assess the related risk within your areas of responsibility.
    • Written reports weekly on progress to the project manager.
    • Monitor the communication groups and report accordingly.
    • Efficient daily, weekly and monthly planning.
    • Be responsible for the booking of dispatch loads and collections from different areas on the mine.
    • Managing the loading and cutting of scrap in your area.
    • Providing professional, efficient and accurate feedback to the project manager.
    • Monitoring the progress of the project and adjusting goals to achieve optimal profitability in collaboration with the project manager
    • Ensuring machinery and equipment is in good working order and is maintained as per maintenance schedules.
    • Be responsible to do over inspections and report any deviations to the project manager.

    Qualifying experience:

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • HIRA certification
    • Diploma or degree in Project management will be an added advantage
    • Previous experience in a managerial role is essential
    • Previous demolition experience an added advantage
    • 3 years’ working experience in production, heavy engineering or mining environment
    • Knowledge of processing ferrous and non-ferrous materials
    • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
    • Valid drivers’ license
    • Own reliable transport
    • Experience in discipline and IR
    • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
    • Extensive knowledge of all scrap processing machinery
    • Computer literacy - proficient in MS Office, internet and e-mail.
