• The Truck Workshop department currently requires a detail orientated, process-driven, dedicated individual in the team. This position requires someone who is able to work in a fast paced, demanding and pressurized environment.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Applicants must have the following qualifying criteria:

• Install new electronic components on vehicles.
• Diagnose problems with the electronic components in vehicles.
• Maintain and repair electronic components.
• Utilize a wide variety of tools to repair parts as efficiently as possible.
• Test and repair starters, alternators and charging systems.
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Repair and replace defective wiring.
• Faultfinding of Electrical system by visual inspection and use of testing equipment such as Multi meters and battery load testers.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Complete job reports and process paperwork.
• Repairs for COF`s.
• Quality control.
• Attend to breakdowns.
• Repair of gear selection systems on International, Volvo and UD trucks.

• A Red Seal Auto Electrician Qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years post qualification working experience.

• The SA Metal has several vacancies for motivated, hardworking and professional Code 14 Drivers to join the Transport Team. The successful candidates be responsible for but not limited to the Code 14 Drivers functions to ensure that the requirements of the clients and Company are met.
• The successful candidates will report to the Transport Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Daily inspection of the vehicle and to report all faults

• The Engineering Department in Gauteng has a vacancy for a hardworking, dedicated Qualified Mechanical Fitter to join their team. Our comprehensive in-house technical facilities, staffed by qualified Engineers and Artisans, are responsible for our machines and equipment.
• The successful candidate will report to the Engineering Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Hydraulic and mechanical fault finding on equipment.
• Remove and replace major components on mobile equipment.
  (e.g. Hydraulic valves, grabs, hydraulic cylinders, alternators, starter motors)
• Replace defective/ leaking hydraulic hoses, fittings and seals on mobile and stationary machines.
• Replace blades and regularly check blade clearance on Mobile Shear machines.
• Record and control stock levels of oils, hydraulic fittings, hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic pipes and spares that he uses frequently.
• Greasing and topping up oils on all machines.
• Carry out routine inspections on machines.
• Quality control

• Negotiate with scrap suppliers, including large scrap metal dealers and industrial generators of scrap, for the purchase of their scrap metal.
• Maintain good customer relationship with these suppliers, including handling all queries and complaints.

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE

• Manage the administrative and operational activities of the primary health care and occupational health care clinic to ensure a quality, legally compliant, efficient, and effective service delivery
