    Security Operational CO-Ordinator

    Description

    • Managing allocated areas to ensure that contractual requirements are met as stipulated by the employer.
    • Ensuring that all relevant security officers on site meet the required tactical requirements.
    • Planning, managing and executing high-risk security operations.
    • Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to improve where and when required.
    • General management and supervision of specialised security staff to ensure that required performance is met at all times.
    • Dealing with all required administration matters.
    • Liaising daily with management on various operational issues.
    • Ongoing liaison with the Security Manager, relevant third-party Security provider and relevant government security role-players. 
    • Ensuring that all HR-related queries are dealt with promptly, and formulate disciplinary actions.
    • Submitting relevant weekly/monthly incidents and general reports to Management.
    • Investigating incidents and reporting on such.
    • Pro-active planning on various sites and mining processes.
    • Responsible for operations on the mountain and underground.

    Requirements

    • Matric/Grade 12 Certificate.
    • Degree/Diploma in policing, security, military studies or business management will be advantageous.
    • Specialised training in a policing, security or military environment will be advantageous.
    • PSIRA Grade A registered (if not then must be in place within 1 month of employment).
    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in security/law enforcement/military environments.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in planning, managing and executing security/law enforcement/military operations.
    • Experience in mining/mining operations from a security perspective will be advantageous. 
    • Experience in providing high-risk security/law enforcement training will be advantageous.
    • Experience in intelligence management will be advantageous.
    • Working knowledge of the Firearms Act and must have firearm competency for business purposes (can be completed after being appointed if currently employed in government security structures).
    • Staff management experience
    • Computer literacy with knowledge of the complete Microsoft package.
    • Sound planning, administration, interpersonal communication and client liaison skills are required.
    • Strong leadership and organisational skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Successfully undergo polygraph examination before employment and on a regular basis
    • No criminal record (Police clearance form if available)
    • Must have great communication skills
    • Valid certificate of physical fitness
    • Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport is required.
    • Must be between 30 and 45 years old.

    Senior K9 Security Officer

    Description

    • Create and implement specially designed care programs based on K9-specific requirements.
    • Verify that implemented programs are effective and modify them where necessary.
    • Ensure that all the required logistical, care, maintenance and well-being requirements for the dogs and relevant facilities are adhered to.
    • Ensure effective K9 operational support to security operations.
    • Ensure that effective K9 operational plans are developed and implemented.
    • Ensure ongoing specialist security/law enforcement K9 training is done.

    • Provide training and care to assigned dogs. Observing and assessing behavioural patterns in dogs, exercising dogs as needed, and utilizing various dog-training techniques to correct problematic behaviours.

    Requirements

    • Working knowledge of the Firearms Act and must have firearm competency for business purposes (can be completed after being appointed if currently employed in government security structures).
    • Operational background/training in SAPS/SANDF will be advantageous.
    • Grade A PSIRA accreditation (if not then must be in place within 1 month of employment).
    • Relevant specialist security/law enforcement K9 handler qualifications are required. 
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in private security/law enforcement.
    • Must be able to communicate in English (must be able to speak, read and write).
    • Successfully undergo polygraph examination before employment and on a regular basis.
    • No criminal record (Police clearance required).
    • Must be willing to work long hours.

    K9 Handler Lead

    Description

    • Supervising dog handlers to ensure that they are performing their jobs effectively

    Surface Millwright

    Description

    • Responsible for the maintenance and repairs of all plant equipment, electrically and mechanically, on-site as well as off-site.
    • Responsible to execute maintenance and repairs according to the planning of all electrical and mechanical maintenance categories, planned- and unplanned, including breakdowns, as allocated by the Maintenance Foreman.
    • Assist with additional maintenance at the plant, as required by the Maintenance Foreman.
    • Responsible for the maintenance aspects of all plant equipment as described in the company asset register, specifically electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance.
    • Ability to work under pressure, achieving maintenance planning milestones and deliverables achieving time and budget expectations.

    Requirements

    • N3 or Grade 12 qualification
    • Relevant trade certificate (MIETTB or Olifantsfontein registration)
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Millwright
    • Must be able to read and understand Electrical and Mechanical drawings.
    • Valid certificate of physical fitness

    Description

    • Ensure that planned maintenance schedules are in place and communicated to the relevant departments.
    • Ensure that maintenance information is accurately and diligently captured on daily basis.
    • Perform data analysis for counter maintenance and future scheduling purposes.
    • Perform general data analysis to optimize asset availability.
    • Track legal compliance and reporting thereof as required.

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role is essential for working with Maintenance Management Systems in an engineering / planning environment
    • Minimum 5 years as an Artisan, Foreman or Technician
    • Experience in implementing Maintenance Strategies and using of Planned Maintenance Software (e.g., Omega Data, SAP, Maximo, etc)
    • Background in the principal of operation of equipment in Gold Mining industry will be advantageous
    • Sound knowledge of legals pertaining to Shafts, TMM, Beneficiation Plants, overall mine infrastructure etc
    • Sound knowledge of Engineering Systems, Safety Systems, Computer and Database Principles and Design
    • Relevant computer skills in terms of Microsoft Office Packages including MS Projects, SAP, Maximo or any other Maintenance system

    Mine Management Accountant

    Description

    • Project analysis & Business case on proposed projects
    • Understanding of Mine Capital requirements (Planning, Budgeting and procurement execution)
    • Cost comments / costing analysis and investigations / reconciliations
    • Management of cost allocations
    • Forecasting of production, costs and profitability
    • Fuel management
    • Reporting writing (Excel, word, PowerPoint)

    • Monitoring spending and financial controls to ensure that spending is kept within approved budget parameters
    • Assist to analyse and interpret the financial information and provide feedback to non-financial managers
    • Assist to report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances, and suggest improvements
    • Assist to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
    • Assist users with preparation of capital motivations, budget access, budget approval, over-expenditure and other costing documentation

    Requirements

    • BCom management accounting / Equivalent qualification in Finance or cost accounting
    • Minimum 3 years relevant working experience, preferable in a Mining or manufacturing environment
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint skills
    • ERP system experience
    • Good mathematical and computer skills
    • Microsoft Dynamics AX experience will be advantageous
    • Strong administration and organisational skills
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
