    Lead - Talent and Learning & Development

    Job Purpose

    Responsible to enable talent management philosophy, processes, and systems by integrating learning & organizational development agenda to build distinctive & competitive edge for Cipla from its Talent & Capability development perspectives. 

    Deliver the agenda of creating fungibility in business skills to build a robust succession plan and transforming careers for our key talents.

    Develop, establish and drive talent acquisition strategy for Cipla by building a high quality talent pipeline in order to enable the organization’s growth and strategy implementation. Devise a strong approach whereby we are able to create a good and sustainable employer brand.

    Accountabilities - 1

    Lead to develop the BU/SAGA-wide talent & learning architecture, in line with the organization's strategic objectives.:

    • Understand current and future strategic needs of the organization and partner with Function Heads to identify & articulate talent and capability needs
    • Identify & capture key talent risks for the organization
    • Partner with external SMEs to bring in Talent & Learning (T&L) best practices, systems & tools to create efficient/effective T&L delivery
    • Co-create talent & learning architecture for critical roles and incumbents to anchor the developmental progress reviews periodically
    • Anchor careers of key talents and drive cross business talent mobility. Support Function Heads to develop career architecture.
    • Anchor succession plans for targeted critical roles and strategize talent development decisions in consultation with the senior leadership team
    • Anchor and facilitate developmental journey of key talent in partnership with Function heads in line with Cipla University frameworks

    Accountabilities - 2

    Oversee the implementation key Talent & Learning interventions across Cipla:

    • Partner with Function Heads and HR BPs for talent identification, talent Assessments, talent review board discussions, identification, and execution of talent actions & senior leaders’ career management
    • Review the robustness of succession pipeline continuously for critical roles to ensure optimal talent health
    • Lead the roll-out of leadership development & talent processes for all levels of hierarchy in a phased manner as per the organizational mandate.
    • Liaison with COEs & CU Academies to share relevant insights in a timely manner to ensure a well-rounded delivery of people agenda
    • Anchor and project manage capability development interventions as per the organizational mandate.

    Accountabilities - 3 and 4

    Establish systems and processes to keep the Talent & Learning Management practices aligned to the Overall HR agenda:

    • Define metrics for measuring impact and efficiencies of Talent & Learning practices.        
    • Support and guide T&L team for streamlining & digitizing the talent & learning processes/interventions across the organization.
    • Establish governance and reporting of key T&L interventions.
    • Develop policies and process for effective talent management and capability development.
    • Guide team member(s) to prevent & solve for escalations across vendors, BUs and HRs in the entire delivery 

    Create and implement the Talent Acquisition strategy by hiring of the right talent to enable the organization’s growth and strategy implementation:

    • Develop and streamline the hiring processes/ systems to enable a best-in-class experience for talent at every stage of the application process
    • Build Cipla’s graduate/bursary recruitment strategy
    • Develop employer branding strategies on campuses, career websites and other social media platforms to position Cipla as the employer of choice
    • Engage with stakeholders by way of tracking the metrics and reporting for TA, to help aid process efficiency

    Education Qualification

    • Degree in Social Sciences/ Human Resource Management/ Industrial Psychology / Talent Management / HR related field (Essential)

    Relevant Work Experience

    • Minimum 15 years of experience in HR and 5 years in a similar role

    Corporate Facilities Manager

    Job Purpose:

    Manage all aspects of physical security and protection for all buildings and grounds of Cipla Medpro assets against loss or damage, pro-active management of the Companies fleet by managing documentation of all Health & Safety related issues, procure all office consumables by advising on energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness, preventative and actual maintenance as well as project management of all new initiatives and with respect to any office changes in order to provide suitable working conditions for all Cipla Medpro employees.

    Key Accountabilities:

    Accountability Cluster

    • Manage the physical security for all the offices of CIPLA Medpro by putting in place effective controls and resources in order to ensure security and protection to the assets of the organisation
      • Allocate appropriate resources efficiently to the key areas of work in order to ensure that priorities are always covered adequately
      • Draft and update the corporate security policy on a timely basis (SOP) 
      • Ensure physical security is delivered to all on site customers and it is within Cipla Medpro’s corporate security policy
      • Maintain the Security Operations Manual up to date for use by all on site security personnel in order to cover duties, individual instructions for each post; attendance; use of security equipment; dress standard; training etc.
      • Assist The Chief Operations Officer in implementing security as a core business function to be adopted by the whole office, keeping physical security measures under constant review to ensure they are adequate to meet current threats to business, evaluate changes, showing advantages and disadvantages, costs etc.
      • Initiate all security clearances and maintain appropriate records
      • Undertake security surveys, security risk assessments, security investigations, draft relevant policies &  procedures and compile security reports on a timely basis
      • Activate and de-activate timeously all access to staff resignations as formally notified by HR
      • Represent security on any relevant project workgroups and any off-site projects on a timely basis
      • Coordinate the protection of the CEO, Directors and VIP visitors
    • Plan and organise the facilities Maintenance operations on a timely basis in order to ensure smooth running of the facilities at all times

      • Coordinate, assign, direct, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly schedules to the respective people in order to set duties right
      • Establish job priorities and time frames for Maintenance Staff and tasks(both internally & externally)
      • Supervise ad co-ordinate all repairs of all Electrical systems for uninterrupted performance of equipment
      • Monitor completion of job assignments through frequent field observation and inspections in order  to ensure compliance with standards and instruction and revises instructions and time frames as necessary
      • Train employees on equipment, task procedures, work standards and proper safety procedures
      • Ensure that all facilities and equipment complies with Health &Safety requirements
      • Schedule and supervise maintenance activities, including work performed by contractors or subcontractors
      • Create and develop documents and manage execution of all related issues in order to ensure maintenance of projects both existing and new.
      • Develop specifications and make recommendations on capital equipment purchases
      • Supervise maintenance and servicing of equipment on a timely basis
      • Determine need for outside contractors to be involved in Maintenance projects
      • Liaise with relevant landlords/body corporates.
      • Maintain appropriate documentation of maintenance schedules, equipment installations, structural repairs and work orders and other operating reports for each facility and or location
      • Manage maintenance budget including monitoring inventory and expenses
      • Draft/update/adhere to corporate maintenance policy (SOP)
      • Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned
    • Develop, manage and oversee the Corporate Health & Safety aspects in the business to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
      • Organize regular evacuation drills, monthly reports, facilitate and feedback regarding success/key learnings.    
      • Service, testing and maintenance of all fire related equipment 
      • Manage & monitor the Facilities Budget on a monthly basis and provide monthly report to relevant manager
      • Renegotiate annual contracts &  benchmark prices on a regular basis
      • Manage & maintain existing relationships with relevant role players

    Skills & Knowledge:

    Educational qualifications:

    • Matric (Senior Certificate)
    • Qualification in Facilities Management is advantageous  

    Relevant experience:

    • At least three to five-years’ experience in managing, facilities, security, property, staff, projects and related industries

    Logistics Controller

    Job Purpose

    Manage and monitor import logistics, which includes customs clearance, economic freight/transport, registrations and payments to ensure timely delivery of goods and compliance with regulatory, customs, foreign trade and other government laws & regulations. Manage and coordinate all local/International 3rd party and Cipla Own Manufacturing (Cipla India and QCIL) upliftment’s and shipments.  Manage and monitor registration and documentation of import assignments and container & freight documentation and supplier payments to ensure accuracy in paperwork as per regulatory compliance standards and timely delivery of goods. Ensure monthly KPI reporting is tracked, completed on the team scorecard.

    Major Activities / Tasks

    • Manage and monitor all activities related to shipment/transportation of goods to ensure timely delivery and complete compliance to set standards.
      • Manage shipments and ensure the accurate quantity of goods on invoice vs transport documentation.
      • Monitor and manage the movement of inventory from both local and international suppliers.
      • Work closely with the India Logistics Team, Planning Team, Finance Team, BD Team, PMO Team and CDG Warehouse Team.
      • Monitor and share shipping documents to relevant parties within the supply chain, keeping parties informed of the estimated time of arrival.
      • Monitor shipping details and pending shipments and update files accordingly.
      • Follow up to see if vessels have been discharged.
      • Monitor the status of incoming international supplies and prepare and submit supporting documentation for clearance.
      • Liaise with suppliers on discrepancies.
      • Assist in the resolution of SARS queries by submitting supporting documentation on EDI and liaison regularly with direct manager, Cipla distribution centre and Cipla India for coordination and representation.
    • Supervise and obtain necessary documents and clearances to ensure the availability of Licences for timely movement of consignment.
      • Request permission documents/permits for the import of special medication as needed.
      • Submit full shipment documentation to Finance for payment of supplier as needed.
      • Support all Section 21 Shipments
      • Support all Bonded Warehouse Shipments
    • Management of all international Sea and Air shipments
      • Liaise between Logistics Service Provider and suppliers.
      • Arrange for the upliftment of shipments (EXW) (or any other related Inco Terms where needed)
      • Follow up on Shipping documents.
      • Follow up of ETA’s
      • Advise responsible parties of ETA’s
      • Complete and update all activities and data capturing on SharePoint ETA Tracker.

    Educational qualifications:

    • Graduate with Relevant BCom Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management

    Relevant experience:

    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role will be preferable.
    • Coordination skills, data management skills, communication skills.
    • Knowledge and experience of Imports Logistics, Export Logistics and regulations associated thereto.
