    Accountant

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • Preparation of monthly operating and capital comparative statements.
    • Compilation of annual financial statements and providing unit information.
    • Preparation of annual estimates and providing unit information.
    • Control to the Celebrate Durban trust account.
    • Authorise expenditures in respect of special events.
    • Monitoring of costs and authorise financial documents.
    • Processes standing entries, and automatice distributions.
    • Issues invoices of costs to Trading Services.

    Senior Legal Advisor

    Key Responsibility Areas

    • Provide employment law support to the Municipality and Municipal Entities.
    • Providing advice or formal legal opinions on employment law matters to the Municipality and Municipal Entities.
    • Drafting and vetting employment law related contracts.
    • Conducting research and training on employment law.
    • Providing legal support to council committees.
    • Institutes, defends and conducts litigation in the Lower Courts, Labour and High Courts, 
    • Supreme Court of Appeals and Constitutional Courts.
    • Provide memorandum of advise and opinion on general litigation matters. 
    • Provide an effective and responsive municipal prosecution service.
