    IT – Site Support Specialist - Rustenburg

    Job Summary 

    The incumbent in this role is responsible for managing and guiding resources required for first-level IT support, rolling out the support strategy and ensuring that high quality support services are provided to support business needs.

     Key Responsibilities

    • Managing site IT infrastructure.
    • Registering incidents, escalating, trend and root cause analysis and problem resolution.
    • Maintaining IT tasks, installing, configuring and trouble shooting of hardware and software.
    • Managing IT continuity.
    • Facilitating and governing the IT Projects on site.
    • Ensuring the IT Services address the changing business needs.

    Engineering Superintendent - Witbank

    The incumbent in this role will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and execution of the maintenance plan in areas of responsibility, focusing on safety the selection, development, support and optimal utilization of people and adherence to systems and procedures.

     Key Responsibilities

    • Implementing and managing maintenance plans for areas of responsibility and communicating monthly and weekly maintenance targets; and monitoring and offering technical guidance to Supervisors to ensure the safe delivery of targets.
    • Managing resource capability, allocation, utilisation and driving the delivery of targets and equipment availability.
    • Measuring the performance of Foremen, providing guidance and coaching through the implementation of good standards and best practice.

    • N6 Certificate with engineering subjects and valid Trade Certificate (Diesel Mechanic) and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Engineering Supervisor; OR
    • A relevant degree and completion of the Graduate Development Programme.
    • Dragline, Drill, Electrical Reticulation, LDV & MDV experience.

    Mining Engineer: Medium-Term Planning

    The incumbent in the role is responsible for supporting the Complex by ensuring optimal exploitation of coal reserves and assisting in meeting operational and strategic business objectives.

     Key Responsibilities:

    • Conducting medium-term planning activities for the opencast operations.
    • Supporting the production process to achieve planned targets.
    • Fulfilling daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting duties.
    • Supporting the preparation of reserves and parameters.
    • Conducting viability studies.

     Minimum Qualifications:

    • A relevant degree in Mining Engineering.
    • A Surface Blasting Certificate for Coal Mines.
    • A Mine Managers’ Certificate of Competency or Glencore internal Law Examination will be an added advantage.

    Minimum Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Opencast Production environment at a Production Superintendent level.
    • Technical Mine Planning experience in an opencast environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Mine Design and Scheduling software.

    Behavioural Competencies:

    • Ability to take the lead, set objectives, sequence processes/initiatives/projects and organize resources to manage risk and achieve objectives.
    • Ability to drill into the detail of issues to determine root cause whilst considering urgency, importance, risk and reward factors.
    • Ability to carefully and objectively analyse and evaluate information to inform decisions and key actions.
    • Ability to work consistently hard to achieve deliverables and honour commitments made.
    • Ability to maintain high levels of individual and team performance by driving the achievement of goals, targets and financial objectives.
