    Senior Software Release Engineer (CI/CD)

    The position reports to the Engineering Team Lead (Release Engineering) 

    The Release Engineering Team (RET) is a division of Takealot’s Engineering team focused on developing tools, solutions and platform which would enable developers to build and deploy software in a safe, secure and continuous manner, whilst maintaining quality. They are a dedicated team of engineers who are responsible for CI/CD solutions, test automation frameworks, cloud & on-prem environments and tools & processes related to build and deployment. This team is also responsible for maintaining some of our core production services, which manage some of our critical functions like monitoring, alerting etc.

    Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

    • Architect and implement CI/CD processes and solutions to drive continuous deployments with velocity
    • Maintain and support continuous delivery tools and processes.
    • Provision, deploy, and operate systems managed by the team
    • Drive tooling, culture, and automation to reduce friction for the Engineering team
    • Design, develop and maintain internal libraries, tooling and systems
    • Work across multiple technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker and Helm.

    Traffic Manager

    This role will report to the Head of Brand & Communication.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Planning, coordinating, workflow management, SOPs and on time delivery of projects in the Marketing department
    • Interfacing between marketing and the rest of the business to ensure marketing requests and assets are deployed quickly and according to scope.

    Mr D - Copywriter

    The position reports to the Senior Copywriter and Content Strategist of Mr D

    Your responsibilities will include:

    •  Translating creative/marketing briefs into effective copy across all touch points. Must be able to take a marketing brief, from ATL campaigns to CRM initiatives, and work with the team to craft compelling copy that brings the idea to life across all of Mr D's touch points.

    Mr D - Grocery Marketing Manager

    This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer of Mr D.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Conceptualising, implementing and management of ongoing promotional marketing campaigns to drive grocery orders on the Mr D  platform. 
    • Own, update and maintain the Mr D Grocery promotional calendar for Mr D Grocery,  initiatives. 
    • You will need to develop an in-depth knowledge of each consumer target market group to craft meaningful promotional strategies. 
    • Work closely with the merchandising team to improve customer conversion within the Mr D app.

    This position reports to the Advertising Sales Specialist - Team Lead

    Your responsibilities will include: 

    • Maximise value from existing Takealot Group relationships (brands and sellers)
    • Directly attracting new brands, agencies and non-retail advertisers to invest in new and existing advertising inventory

    Reporting to the Inbound Shift Manager.

    • Have a detailed understanding of warehouse management systems
    • Problem solving skills required
    • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment.
    • Possess excellent personal organisation and business administration skills in accordance with modern best practice methods.
    • Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.
    • Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt.
    • Good team player, hard worker, willing to be flexible with a positive attitude Must be able to work as part of a multi-cultural team
    • Must be able to train staff

    Qualifications:

    • Matric or equal qualification
    • Tertiary qualification advantageous
    • Have proven relevant experience in Picking, Packing, Receiving, Supplier Collects and Inventory (in applicable departments within the DC)
    • 4-5 years warehouse experience
    • 2 years supervisory experience/exposure would be advantageous
