    Senior People Business Partner - Product & Tech

    The Opportunity

    • We are looking for an experienced Senior People Business Partner to join our Cape Town based People & Culture team, dedicated to our Product & Technology teams.
    • You will partner closely with key business leaders by aligning talent initiatives with business strategies. You will provide full spectrum support across teams based both locally and globally, strategically and tactically, through projects and programs dedicated to bringing the Yoco employee experience to life.

    What You Will Be Doing

    • Guide leaders in the design and evolution of their functions (structure and leadership) to be fit for future challenges. This includes developing people strategies and career plans that enable business results both now and in the future
    • Drive people experience projects from design to execution.
    • Provide change management support for all organisational changes
    • Design and implement Leadership development journeys.
    • Drive robust Talent Management practises including Talent Mapping and Talent Planning
    • Drive conversations and initiatives to shape and evolve our culture and ensure our values are lived consistently.
    • Coordinate with specialists inside the People & Culture team to deliver HR programs to the business, including, Career frameworks, Leadership Development Programs, L&D roadmaps, Compensation and Performance management cycles.

    About You

    • You have previous experience experience as a People Business Partner, working with senior leadership within tech and product teams
    • You are analytical with a metrics-driven approach to talent solutions and have the ability to leverage people analytics and insights to create compelling narratives for change to gain sponsorship.
    • You have significant depth in organisational design, people manager development and coaching, facilitation, and employee relations.
    • You are able to bring the employee experience journey to life through innovative programs, relevant to your functions
    • You have effective and influential communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style as needed
    • You are an empathetic partner, who can coach employees and managers through complex situations and sensitive matters
    • Team oriented builder who understands how to achieve buy-in from diverse constituencies, builds bridges and designs “win-win” solutions across a matrix management organisation
    • You are excited about helping us to further develop our People practices while sharing our passion to keep things simple in design, light on process and high on impact.

    Head of Performance Marketing

    About The Role

    • Yoco is looking for an experienced Head of Performance Marketing who will act as a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team, reporting to the VP Commercial. In this role you will be responsible for the development and leadership of the strategic plan, vision and execution of our global digital channels and acquisition funnel. This includes full accountability for digital acquisition (paid and organic), website and e-commerce, CRM, personalisation, creative, testing, marketing, and digital technology. Your team will be accountable for all digital acquisition, sales funnel and customer journey conversion metrics.

    What You Will Be Doing

    As Head of Performance Marketing you will lead, manage and develop a team dedicated to growing our ever evolving performance marketing roadmap across the full customer journey, ensuring a seamless experience for our prospects from first touchpoint to sale, retention and monetisation. You will be responsible for:

    • Leading and setting the agenda for an ambitious and growing team, placing high priority on people development and career growth
    • Being an entrepreneurial and visionary growth leader, sparking ideas around new initiatives/experiments/pilots and process improvements that will accelerate growth
    • Evolving our approach to attracting, acquiring, growing and retaining merchants based on a strong understanding of the user journey
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as brand marketing, product teams and others to ensure our paid and owned channels are cohesive, connected and optimised
    • Understanding what's happening within our broader business and how our marketing efforts contribute to this, socialising insights to help further shape strategy
    • Helping to evolve our thinking around performance indicators and benchmarks, working with our Data Analytics team to improve the fidelity and value of our performance reporting
    • Taking full responsibility of overseeing paid media i.e. TV, radio, outdoor and digital marketing - Facebook & Instagram Ads, Google Display Ads, Google Search Ads, Search engine optimization (SEO), and referral marketing
    • Managing media mix strategy and budget allocation of a >$5m annual media budget that drives balanced growth and maximises paybacks and return of investment per customer
    • Work in close collaboration with regional teams and marketing partners - including but not limited to Google, Meta, and Salesforce.

    About You

    • 15+ years of growth or performance marketing experience in a high-growth environment, with a strong preference for experience in b2c start-ups or scale-ups and a proven track record.
    • Management of large budgets and achievement of stretch growth targets.
    • People management experience and a passion for developing diverse, motivated and high-performing teams.
    • An understanding of how to use platform-specific creative to optimise different channels.
    • Experience with marketing tactics and data, from search to paid social to data-driven display advertising. Knowledge of other performance marketing and lead generation channels such as affiliate marketing, email and video.
    • Proficiency with quantitative and data visualisation tools (e.g. Excel, Looker, Tableau, etc.) to understand and share how performance marketing contributes to business growth.
    • Experience working with marketing measurement methods and tools, including multi-touch attribution, incrementality testing, A/B testing, and beyond.
    • Excellence in project management. There will be many concurrent and high velocity work streams. Proactive management and communication.
    • Experience with landing page and broader website content testing. Website analytics know-how is also helpful.

    Analyst - Compensation and People Analytics

     

    The Opportunity

    • We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst who is keen to venture into the field of Compensation and People Analytics, to join the Yoco People & Culture team and help us expand our Compensation and People Analytics capabilities.
    • Collectively, we are on a mission to reposition the Yoco People team as a strategic enablement function, influencing business decisions using people data and analytics, and providing data driven insights to influence all aspects of the Yoco candidate and employee journey. This role is key to enabling us to deliver to this.
    • You will report to and work closely with the Head of Total Reward and partner with the People, Finance and Legal teams to support all matters that relate to Compensation & Benefits and support the Yoco People Experience.
    • You will also work closely with the Data team to ensure the Compensation & People Analytics systems and frameworks are aligned to the approach and practices of the Data team.

    What You Will Be Doing

    As an Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our organisation's People-related processes. By leveraging your expertise in data analytics, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our compensation and People strategies.

    • Develop expertise in compensation-related People processes and utilise your data analysis skills to introduce process efficiencies, such as improving data quality in source systems and integrating these enhancements within the People team's workflows.
    • Analyse trends, draw insights, and make data-driven recommendations to drive process improvement.
    • Design and develop robust data models to serve as the foundation for People analytics and reporting.
    • Produce insightful management information (MI) data analyses and reports on various subjects, including performance review cycles, compensation, and attrition.
    • Participate in cyclical exercises, such as job matching, market data benchmarking, monthly budget vs. forecast reporting, and compensation review processes.
    • Deliver process management and actionable analytics in support of core compensation processes.
    • Provide compensation-related interpretation and guidance to the People team and the broader organisation.
    • Serve as a primary contact for reward and benefit inquiries, and collaborate with the People team to address compensation-related concerns.
    • Monitor local market trends to ensure that our compensation programs remain competitive and responsive to both corporate and local business unit requirements.
    • Conduct regular data audits to maintain the ongoing accuracy of our databases.
    • Manage and maintain internal compensation-related tools and resources.

    By assuming this role, you will contribute significantly to our organisation's success by ensuring fair, competitive, and data-driven compensation practices across all departments.

    About You

    • A strong background in Business Analytics/Intelligence or a solid foundation in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Actuarial Science, with an interest in applying these skills to Compensation and People Analytics.
    • At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering or applied analytics. Experience in compensation analytics and leveraging both internal and external data sources for insights on pay equity and competitiveness is highly desirable.
    • Demonstrated expertise in data modelling and proficiency in various statistical techniques for data analysis and interpretation.
    • Proficiency in relevant technical skills such as SQL, Python, R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
    • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and support change in a fast-paced, multi-market environment.
    • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
