Delphi/C# Developer (Senior) - Life Systems at Discovery Limited

Key Purpose
We are seeking a Delphi/C# developer who will take responsibility for leading, developing and mentoring a team of developers to implement a financial application to the technical specifications of the application architecture.

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

• Deliver key software projects
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of developers.

• Strong knowledge of Delphi and C#
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming

• Good experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with UML design
• Knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
• Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
• Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (Bitbucket)

Education And Experience

• University Degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics, or similar experience, is highly preferable
• 10 or more years’ experience in building and maintaining applications using Delphi and C#.
