    Expression of Interest - Security Specialist Africa

    The Project Manager (PM) shall have experience and qualifications on a range of security-related skills and have a verified record of proven reliability and good conduct.


    • The Project Manager (PM) shall have completed a secondary education, poly technical school, National Diploma, or Associate degree, and have experience in program or project management and qualifications on a range of security-related skills along with a verified record of proven reliability and good conduct to minimize personnel and staffing issues.


    • The PM shall have a minimum of 10 years police, military, security, or local guard force management experience with a minimum of five years of the work experience being at supervisory or command levels.

    • A minimum of five years’ work experience in the host country or region.

    • The PM shall possess intimate knowledge of overseas security environments and have a familiarity of the recent trends and specific terrorist and criminal threats facing the U.S Mission. Desirable, but not mandatory, qualifications include familiarity with U.S., European, or similar (e.g. South Africa, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, etc.) security theory and practices.

    • Experience with risk management including problem identification and problem solving would be highly recommended.

    The PM shall have the following knowledge and skills:

    • Be a third country national citizen in possession of a valid current work visa in the host nation, a possession of a valid current work visa in the host nation, or a citizen of the host country;

    • English speaking/reading skill level S4/R4 or native English speaker;

    • French or Portuguese would be advantageous

    • Must be able to manage culturally, tribally, and religiously diverse workforces without perceived bias; Experience with multiple levels of communication between various levels of management; Experience with international security operations and management;

    • Experience managing security staff or local guard force management experience;

    • Be an expert in all areas of physical security and access control;

    • Must understand operational methods of all guard force units and zones for response, and maintain a professional demeanor under highly stressful circumstances;

    • Be experienced in basic communications and radio use/procedures;

    • Be able to maintain and manage communication between all parties;

    • Provide risk management planning and performing qualitative risk analysis;

    • Be able to define, sequence and estimate activities and resources;

    • Experience with acquiring, developing, and managing project teams;

    • Able to use a computer including all common office management tools (e.g. Microsoft Office);

    • Hold a current host-country driver’s license;

    • Be willing to be mobile across Africa

    Business Development Manager

    We are look for Business Development Managers who will be responsible for the marketing and sales of integrated security solutions to prospective and existing customers, to achieve established sales targets


    • Matric, Revelant commercial qualification / Diploma in sales and marketing
    • Relevant experience within the corporate sales environment,


    • Face to Face Sales experience of at least 3 years

    Main Responsibilities:

    Effective management of sales and marketing in the region in compliance with G4S business strategy.

    • Development of sales strategy specific to the region, through analysis of the region’s business profile, products and services available / required, existing customer base, resources and competitors.
    • Identification of potential new business opportunities through consultation and cooperation with operational management, planned prospecting, leads, cold calling, tender notices.
    • Arrange and conduct meetings with new and existing business prospects, in conjunction with operational management where appropriate, to market G4S integrated security solutions.
    • Conduct / arrange site surveys to identify risks and develop appropriate solution to meet customer needs.
    • Prepare and submit sales proposals / tenders to prospective customers. Where necessary, prepare and conduct sales presentation.
    • Obtain approval from the Regional Financial Manager that the proposal complies with the PAP Model
    • In consultation with the ROD and Financial Manager, ensure that annual contract escalations of existing customers are finalised

    Effective performance of Sales and Marketing administrative functions:

    • Finalise contract documentation (Service Agreement, Letter of Intent) as per standard terms and conditions, with any variation approved by National Office.
    • Preparation and submission of Contract Schedule to appropriate departments for processing.
    • Ensure that a customer file is maintained, containing a signed copy of the contract, contract schedule, as well as any other relevant documentation.
    • Ensure that Head Office is provided with copies of all signed contracts.
    • Ensure that the contract status report is updated on a monthly basis.
    • Ensure that the ERP system is constantly updated with all required information on new and existing customers.
    • Where required by the Regional Operations Director, coordinate Public Relations activities, Company sponsored events, and the control and distribution of corporate gifts.

    Effective reporting on regional Sales and Marketing activities:

    • Preparation and submission of monthly report to ROD and National Sales and Marketing Director.
    • Provide Financial Manager with accurate information on new and lost business as required.
    • Advise regional operational management of sales activities, competitors and customer needs.
