    Description of the role and purpose of the job:

    • The main purpose of the job is to support and assist the Facilities manager and team in all office procedures and other tasks as assigned by the Facilities Supervisor. To support and assist the facilities team with general maintenance, driving and administration
    • The successful individual will have to deliver a process, project or service involving the completion of a series of defined tasks where accuracy, and timeliness are critical. They will have to be able to take direction from others in completing tasks and assignments and actively seek out work from more senior team members. The individual may be on frequent occasions be required to physically be at the work premises outside work hours and or respond to urgent matters during weekends.

    Key accountabilities

    Administration

    • Interact with staff, clients, suppliers and visitors
    • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email
    • Issue responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries
    • Perform general clerical duties to include, but not limited to, copying, faxing, mailing, laminating and filing
    • Daily recording of all mail, docex, by hand deliveries and collections, tenders and proposals.

    End User Computing (EUC) Specialist

    Purpose of position:

    • The EUC Specialist is responsible for overseeing and executing all technical requirements for development of the End User Computing requirements for KPMG South Africa.

    Key accountabilities:

    • Design, build, deployment and maintenance of the end user image (Global Desktop), on the basis of what is provided by ITS Global, and in terms of global standards, business requirements and best practice, for KPMG SA and Africa Shared Services customers.
    • Maintenance of the Group Policy for EUC environments, including AGPM and the Policy management of the desktop environment for KPMG SA. Support for GPO for Africa Shared Services countries is only for escalations.
    • Responsible for administration, management and deployment of SCCM end-user components, such as software deployment, security updates (patching), advertisements and collections, for KPMG SA and Africa Shared Services customers.
    • Reporting for all SCCM end-user related elements, including Patch compliance for KPMG SA and remediation in this area.

    Senior Manager - DPP Accounting

    Description of the role and purpose of the job:

    • Senior manager in DPP Accounting, responsible for mandatory and non-mandatory consultations, financial statement reviews and informal queries in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
    • To be part of the dynamic team that supports the audit function and other functions on IFRS and other financial reporting matters. Perform senior reviews of consultations, informal queries, pre-issuance reviews and leading specific projects within DPP Accounting. Provide coaching and training of managers in DPP Accounting.

    Senior Manager - DPP Audit & Assurance (2LoD)

    Description of the role and purpose of the job:

    • To form an integral part in the Second Line of Defence (2LoD) team and perform reviews of audit engagement files in the firm (immediately prior to audit opinion sign off) to identify deficiencies in audit quality and non-compliance with ISAs, KAM, KAEG, KPMG Policies, International Standards on Auditing and International Financial Reporting Standards.
    • To assist in developing and implementation of audit quality initiatives in the firm.
    • To assist with determining remedial actions to be implemented by audit teams to enhance audit quality across all audit engagement files and provide audit quality support, including coaching and training, to audit teams within the firm. Participation in assisting with the implementation of these remedial plans.

    D&A Data Analyst - DPP Audit & Assurance (Central Analytics Team)

    Description of the role and purpose of the job:

    • To primarily support D&A in the audit and be part of the team that successfully deploys KPMGs new workflow and capabilities across the Southern Africa audit practice.
    • This position can be filled through a permanent internal transfer from Audit / KDA, or an external appointment.

    Key responsibilities:

    Perform D&A using appropriate tools within the Central Analytics Team based on the D&A scope and data source.

    Prepare documentation of D&A work performed and deliverables for use by audit teams.

    Work with audit teams and clients to:

    • extract and cleanse data from a variety of ERP systems
    • review data quality and check its completeness and accuracy
    • analyse and interpret the results of analytic routines to derive key insights for communication back to audit teams.
       

    Establish strong relationships with audit teams and be able to communicate frequently and consistently.

    Manage the needs of multiple stakeholders:

    • ensuring deadlines are met and keeping audit teams and the Central Analytics Team leads updated;

    We are looking for experience data engineers to consult on both a functional and technical level to design and implement leading practice modern data warehousing cloud solutions and assist our clients in navigating through the journey.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    •        Designing, developing, testing and maintaining data architectures
    •        Designing, developing, and testing large stream data pipelines to ingest, aggregate, clean, and distribute data models ready for analysis
    •        Ensuring the highest standard in data integrity
    •        Collaborating with other engineers, ML experts, analysts, and stakeholders to produce the most efficient and valuable solutions
    •        Leveraging best practices in continuous integration and delivery
    •        Understand and implement features, technology and industry leading practice to ensure scalability and efficiency
    •        Mentor and upskill juniors

     

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Degree in Computer Science, information systems , Engineering or equivalent experience 
    • 2-3 years relevant industry experience
    • Experience developing ETL processes using Databricks and Python
    • Exposure to Azure, AWS or GCP cloud technology (Proof of certification or work experience required)
    • Experience with data lakes and data warehousing architectures in cloud environments
    • Experience with data visualisation and modelling tools (Power BI or Tableau or similar)
    • Experience with DevOps related practices and Continuous Integration and Delivery
    • Ability to lead teams technically
    • Microsoft D365FO, SAP S4 Hana or other related ERP experience is desirable
    • Consulting experience preferable
